btw - I havn't been following the games as fanatically as I'd have liked. However, I did notice that the Scottish bowls team/squad were beaten by Tonga.

WTF?????????? Have I led a life sheltered from the rampaging all-conquering nemesis that are Tongan bowlers? If only John Candy were alive I think this would provide the material for Cool Runnings II

As an Aussie I've about had enough of the lopsided medal tally and national anthem continuously being played

Putting these games into perspective.........the sum total of 2 world records have been broken so far. And the same swimmer broke both of them :-?

What's happened to Canadian sport? :-? It seems to have gone to shit. Once upon a time it was Aus, England and Canada vying for the top of the medal tally race. Even English sport seems to have dropped off in recent games so it seems

The boxing seems no different. When the Oz guys are fighting for so many medals (7?) then something is definitely awry :D

Noone really cares about the commonwealths any more. The Aussies do because they are hosting it.

Even in the UK we barely care....

p.s. The Commonwealth Games are an institution and will continue. It's an opportunity for the big boys to generally beat up the smaller boys  (refer my post in Tarver - Hopkins :x )

Whaddaya talkin about :box: There's 7 Sierra Leone team members (I think their team has the sum total of 7 members in it ) that may disagree - they've done a runner and nobody can find them :D
