Toney may look poor but his cardiovascular fitness is second to none and the guy is so used to this type of occasion unlike Rahman he wont get flustered and he will simply fight his own patient fight and frustrate Rahman and work him over on the inside.

The history is there. If 15 round fights came back James would rule forever. I strongly believe that if you are relaxed you can fight all night, WK and his brother work so hard on stamina and burn it up with the rigid frames they have.
Toney will mess with Rahman, that new chassis Rahman is rocking won't proctect him from his own self doubt when Toney doesn't budge. Can't wait to avoid the result and get the DVD on Tues.
Emailed Sky, what a bunch of clowns, got a "ah well smeg you boxing fans" style reply, about as comforting as some numpty in a call centre telling me "my remarks have been taken on board".

Looks like he's been pumping a lot of weights though, Rahman has always been a bit too musclebound.

biceps look huge, he is very similar physique to Danny williams without the massive calves.
I wouldnt say he is muscle bound though, he is a big guy naturally.... unlike a Wlad or a Lacy who have small frames and piled on the beef

Just thinking that, hugely broad shoulders and back, but Danny is definetly the don when it comes to calves, only mother sperm whales have bigger calves.

I agree Chambers - its more a case of James being able to relax in the ring, combined with minimal foot movement means he doesnt burn up unnecessary energy. He is a very efficient fighter.
Stick him on a 400m track and I reckon he would be blowing out of his ar5e in less then 3 laps though.

Main difference between Moore and Toney is that Moore was able to move up and then back down in the weights, there is no way that Toney could make Cruiser let alone Light Heavy.

I disagree, he could, but he won't. Moore also never weighed more than 190 in his career, so it was a bit easier for him to gain or shift 15 lbs....

Thats down to Toney though, it used to kill Moore to get back down to Light Heavy but he still did it, Toney just can't be arsed, or it maybe that it wouldn't make any financial sense either.
Looking at his record Toney wasn't a great Light Heavy lost to Griffin and Thadzi at that weight, he has been much better since stepping up to Cruiser and Heavy.

Toney completely lost his way after the Jones Jr fight, really patchy performances and not training for fights. It's only the last 3 years he has totally dedicated himself, he might be fat, but I don't think that means he is unfit, he's not superfit for sure, but he spars a lot of hard rounds in the gym, and you can't do that if you're unfit.
As I said, Moore only had to go up and down 10-15 lbs, if he was campaiging today he would be having to go to 210 to compete at heavyweight.

Im not surprised that Toney is so fat, looking at the pics in Boxing Monthly a while back he looked like he had about 8 chins. Although BM pics always make fighters look bloated, De La Hoya, Mosley and Vargas all looked massive in recent photos.
Rahman looks in great shape which makes things a lot more interesting, however i expect Toney to lie on the ropes and Rahamn stand and paw an ineffective jab with Toney taking a decision. I have a feeling this is going to be a real stand off, no punches, crowd booing, bore fest. Hope not though.

Toney is evens to win on points with Stan James not great odds, but its the most likely outcome IMO. I've had a few quid on it

Toney is my favourite overseas fighter by a country mile, for what he does inside and outside the ropes, he's one of the few proper bad ass's that are left in the sport.
Was it after the Holyfield fight when he was shouting 'Next.....Who's Next????" into the camera?
His schooling of Jirov for the cruiser title in one of my favourite exhibitions of boxing ever. Hes got an almighty mouth on him, but he can back every word up in the ring.
