Audley will struggle to find support in the UK now.
From the begining, he went for general public support, at the expense of the fight fans. (focusing on big hair cuts and smack talk rather than getting in shape and putting on real shows)
Now the general public only have eyes for Amir Khan and Audley has no guaranteed TV coverage over here. Audley could get back to basics and start performing, but the boxing public have largly had enough too.

Gotcha....I'm hoping they bring Amir over here for some fights. I think he has a style that works everywhere in the world...except Germany , and he definitely has a ceiling as high as can be. However, I've seen talk that he doesn't have his heart fully in it, and is just going through the motions because he can. I also read that he's taking time off after his accident, and that worries me that he needs one after 6 gimme fights and not much challenge in life.

I think AUdley still has something to offer, I recon more people over hear have heard of Audley than Williams or Skelton and he can talk. In terms of his carrer he will need to prove himself and take the short end of the purse a few times. British sports fans are fickle but that works both ways, much as they all think he is a joke now they would all come back and say they always supported him if he gets a world title shot.

Realisticaly time aint on his side. However his size and speed and the current state of the HW devision is, I still believe he is a better fighter than williams but fought a bad fight on the night.

Wasn't this the exact same words regarding match 1? Winner should get a world title shot?

Dissapointed, first match wasn't great and I think Williams might be paying the price for unproffesional conduct in the recent past regarding promoting (and turning up for) fights.

Just generally dissapointed, I don't really want to be watching that again.

There has been talk, but not really because of Amir himself as far as I know. It's more to do with "If you give a kid so much money, can he keep hungry?", or comparissons with Audley and I think Naseem too (both of questionable heart).

well, having a raucous english crowd at your back should get you fired up...if it doesn't, you might as well hang it up now. I'd love to be an English fighter at home, and would dread it being a visitor...I don't care what anyone says, having that much anti-sentiment thrown your way does pull your mind a bit.

Amir is good but hasn't improved as much as I would have liked and could do with taking more difficult tests. He seems to leave his chin out to dry when he throughs big shots and could be susptible to a good counter puncher.

I personaly would love to have seen him in these commonwealf games.

I think the only reason danny will take skelton on will be to keep himself off the mr kipling apple pies and pizza`s,really thou it`s a pointless matchup,williams still wasn`t in good shape,he needs to lose at least another stone and come in 18 at most,
Skelton has shown he can only plod forword with weak punches and danny should be ashamed of his coasting to cover his poor fitness levelsin that fight.
I think the ref was awful,but i suppose he knew skelton would have been even worst if told to clean his act up,and the fight would have been a walkover for williams,then again maybe the ref was still suffering from the power knockout from danny mcalinden`s 2 fisted assult many years agowhen he was a fighter.
Khan will still con the british public same as harrison,and others before him,but you can`t blame the public they get fed tripe horseshit,what i find distastful is so called experts like that joker barry mcguigan bums up khan saying he`s superb,but 1 look watching his ameturistic throwing ofwild punches(and missing most times)wide open guard,stuck out chin,tells anyone with a bit of sense ,khan`s a no hoper,but will have another 20 odd fights against non punchers before somewhere olong the line he got to fight a decent puncher and he will be yesterdays news,but with plenty of money in the bank.

Well, have to disagree. Khan has blistering hand speed, and far from being wild, his punches were spot on the target last time out. Don't think he has devastating power, but he won't neccesarily need to with handspeed like that.

Considering how few fights he's had, Khan is looking good, but will obviously need to tighten up when he steps up a level. He may never make it at elite leve, but if not, then so be it, he seems like he will give it a try, though I fear he will earn enough prior to that to take away some of the desire and committment required to do so.

Time will tell..

The problem is Harrisons basics just arent that good. He's got the size and skills but zero stamina and absolutely no confidence in his chin.

I know in the US, the love for heavies has dwindled greatly, so to see two middle of the road contenders mix it up, we don't see much about it.

Oh yes definately - They are our best fighters and winning or losing on a split decision is not good - Neither are in the LL class but they are good and the rematch will be a moneyspinner - One of the judges who is also a ref is very hot on head butting so he gave the decision to Williams - Skelton will have to be very careful next time or face disqualification - You will see a different fight I think next time from Skelton and I see him being the KO winner
