I would disagree on the undercard's being weak though, i have thought to myself on more than one occasion since Xmas that there have been some good, even fights on the SKY undercard's. I think there has been a marked improvement in the quality of fights lately and if i didn't read the trade magazines and come online i would have thought the SKY future seemed bright with lots of new talent being showcased. Shame they are thinking of pulling the plug on the whole thing.
Yeah, it would be even better with Ringside, IMO. I always liked that programme. It added a much needed dimension for British boxing in three ways: gave domestic pro's the chance of TV time, kept regular SFN/FFN watchers (like you and me) clued up, and gave some character to the fighters - possibly enticing new viewers to tune in. It must seem like a drama of silhouettes for new watchers these days.
Obviously it's not viable under the current budget to dosh out a production crew around the country, and maybe it was cut for a strategic reason, but I think it played a vital - perhaps underrated - role in the UK game.

My grave concern about Sky is the now lack of fights stateside... I think its only the Morales vs Pacquiao fight that has was scheduled and didn't take the place of a UK fight.

I just hope it has something to do with this fight+ channel securing the rights and that it will come to the UK.

I don't think the future has gone from looking bright to non existant so soon.
Muttley and Robinson ARE with Warren and at least 7 of the others are trying to be.
