Liberal bullshit?? The jails are more full than they have ever been, the government is as right leaning anf 'tough on crime' as it has ever been, what are you talking about??
What exactly will sending him to jail accomplish? Jail is not always the answer and it is the most expensive one for you an me (in taxation) to hand out.
This knee jerk lock them up reaction is part of the problem with today's society, not the solution.
I also think that because of his celebrity a huge community service sentence and fine would be more productive for eveyone involved. Naz also has a young family how would they be helped by him going to jail?

I agree that he should have to do a lot of community service, and i also agree that he should have to [ay the victim a lot of money in damages but no, not jail
OK but if it was you, your friends or family that were in that other car would still think the same?
There have been too many cases where people have been given a slap on the wrist for this kind of thing. He was behaving like a prick and deserves everything he gets. He's just lucky the other bloke isn't dead. And he tried to run from the scene like a f*cking coward.
I can't agree with giving him community service either. Would you want your kids going round to Hamed's gym listening to his bullshit? If he was made to go out and pick up rubbish on the streets then maybe that would help him shape up for his elusive comeback bout....

I think the Americanish - Haters is appropriate here. If you had the cars he had you'd be thrashing them left right and centre too I know I would (although I may limit it to Duals and Motorways but I'd be tempted on countryside lanes too).
Why not make him pay compensation to the injured partyand have him do 1000hours of community service, go into schools, boxing gyms, donate money to a community cause instead of it going into the waste of space that is our tax system.

That's not really an excuse mate, he was driving like a fornicating nutter in a residential area, and almost fornicating killed someone, I say he deserves what he gets.
People who drive like pudenda really piss me off, I cycle to work every day and have to deal with the moronity of thick as fornicate white van men and taxi drivers, pschopathic bus drivers, and speed jockeys like Naz for an hour a day, and I've little sympathy.
I still don't understand why on earth they allow cars on the road which can go more than double the speed limit? Where exactly are people going to drive them if they are to stay within speed limits.

The fornicator is rich enough to pay for his own time in jail. Perhaps there are people in jail who shouldn't be. But if jails are full of people who SHOULD be there, then build more fornicating jails then.
I don't give a damn about Naz's young family - living in a mansion in Dore without their dad for three months and £20 mill in the bank is something they might have to suffer.
He was driving a lethal weapon around and nearly killed some bastard. And you ask me what I'M talking about?
A knee-jerk reaction? This happened TEN months ago. Why do you think he's pleading guilty? Because he's penitent? NO - because the barrister will have advised him that the evidence is overwhelming and if he went to trial and lost he would definitely do time.

i believe in the USA if you are rich you have to pay for you time behind bars.....
Didnt Tyson have to pay???

Actually I was talking about the general culture of 'lock them up' as a knee jerk reaction not this specific case. And The what are you talking about comment was in response to the idea that these are especially liberal times. I wish they were, then you would see greater social justice leading to less need to build more prisons.
Jails dont rehabilitate.

Yup. You have to be given credit for pleading guilty at an early stage ie before the case goes to trial and this reduces your sentence.
His solicitor would've made him aware of all that and I think thats the only reason he pled guilty - to try and lessen his sentence as judging by what he's like, there's possibly not a shred of guilt in him.

Prison is just an expensive way of making bad people worse.
Somebody said that once, no idea who!! True though.

Ah, yes, I totally agree. Jails should be about education and rehabilitation but they sadly don't seem to be.
And yes, social justice underpins it all.
Naz should be sent down - he doesn't have a hard luck story or any social injustice to point at. There is also a punishment aspect of custody which needs to be understood.

Bugs don't talk crap. He committed the crime and has been sailing close to the wind for years whilst driving like a maniac. They way he handled this incident is appalling and he showed no regard for the other guy or his family whilst he was incapacitated. He is an arrogant flash little knob who needs a serious reality check and hopefully he will get one if the judge doesn't bottle it. Naz is the original Chav!
Bugs, how would you feel if he had knocked over your mum or kids? Would you say, that's fine I'll send him to the local school to impress youngsters on how they too can become arrogant little twats with no regard for their fellow man. fornicate that, I don't want my kids listening to his crap.
Bug's, in many cases you are right and if he had admitted acting the prick and making a bad error and then, at least, attempted to make some sort of amends then maybe jail would not be the answer but clearly he is still showing no remorse and has stuck two fingers up at everyone cos he's got a few quid. What's worse, I know is still driving around Sheffield like Colin Mcrae. So who's next a small child?
fornicate him I say, he spouted talk of a comeback and crept his way back into the public eye just to try and avoid jail and it meant nothing to the judge and the comeback talks gone away. Conman.
Bugs, Jail has it's faults I agree and I do feel for Naz's family but when you are in clink the worst part is that your family suffers financially and you can't support them whilst being banged up or after you get out. Naz won't have any of that pressure so will have a relatively easy 6 weeks in signing autographs and working in a gym probably less shitty than Brendans.
Bang him up and teach him a lesson and fornicate all that community service nonsense. What next Gary Glitter and Jonathan King teaching music rather than getting boiling water and piss thrown at them?
When he's finished send him back to his beloved Yemen where he can taste real justice.
Just a thought, will he lose his MBE?

Wow, all this fuss just becuase he's famous.
Do you have any idea how many people wake up in the morning with a plan to commit a crime?
People planning to rape that woman, planning to murder that jogger, planning to mug that old lady, planning to use that cloned credit card, planning to steal that car, planning to sell crack to kids.....
The courts are full of these sorts of crimals.
When a jug eared idiot appears in front of a judge for what is an accident (unless anyone believes it was his intention to hit someone) what do you think he'll get?
He'll get what he deserves. 0 time (or very little time) in Jail, keeping it open for the real scum in our society.

So many replies ask how I would feel if I was related to the people involved, well I would be angry, I would want him to pay and would hope that our society would protect him from my rage, it is part of being civilised.

Quite agree. But so, surely, is the concept of justice.
I simply can't understand the logic of people who feel that teaching kids to be a hands-down, hip-swaying arrogant tit in his own bloody gym is 'justice' for nearly killing an innocent bloke through entirely selfish recklessness.

What are you a vicar or a fool? Prison is there to do just that and to protect YOU from morons like Hamed who clearly are a danger to society.

Accident? driving an SLR at high speed througha country lane? Reckless, stupid, and potentially suicidal. Don't polish a turd.

Jesus Christ almighty. "Your honour, I know I was juggling with chain saws in a playground full of children but surely you must realise it was an ACCIDENT that one of them was decapitated."
Cause and effect, no?

If he did not intend to crash then it was an accident. I agree it appears to have been an accident that he did not take measures to avoid, but still not as bad as if it was a premeditated attack.
I am not a vicar, and Im not a fool. I just get annoyed by the brutish, and often hypocritical, response to crime/immigration/insert hatred of the week here/etc that we see in the UK. I dont think people are thoughtful enough or sensitive enough to the reasons for these things occuring. Obviously a millionaire crashing his car is not the kind of thing I'm talking a bout here
![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
But the thoughfulness still exists, dont lock someone up when they can be more productive and give a greater contribution not locked up. It is not rocket science.
Then again, I suspect that you would be just as happy giving him the lash, or whatever unsual punishment that the daily tabloids could cook up.

1 I don't drive.
2 Even If I did, I have little interest in speed, it doesn't excite me in the slightest.
3 I actually really like Smart cars, and they came in the top 10 of Channel 4's poll of the best ever cars.
4 I can think of far better things to do with millions of pounds than waste them on an expensive car.
5 Just because someone is rich, doesn't mean they have to drive like a fornicating twat.

No, we aren't far apart on the general issue. I agree with your general view.
But "it appears to have been an accident that he did not take measures to avoid" is magnamimous in the fornicating extreme.

I passed my driving test about 7 weeks ago (after years and years fo my girlfriend nagging), everyone said I would love driving after I got past the test, I have been in the car twice since, and the longest drive I have done is 4mins. I cant stand driving
