Ali UD12 Louis (I see Ali as having the advantage in the style mix up between these two and winning a competitive fight by a clear decision, but I can't see him dropping a fighter as accomplished as Louis)
Holmes UD12 Tyson (anyone Tyson other than a peak Tyson would get stopped by Holmes, and I think I'm being generous to Tyson with this)
Foreman TKO3 Frazier (easiest pick yet)
Lewis UD12 Marciano (could concievably stop Rocky on cuts, but seeing as he never did, I'm giving Rocky the benefit of the doubt. Lewis has a HUGE size and reach advantage, and a style advantage IMO, as he was never really hurt to the body in his career).

Tyson TKO 4 Holmes
Hang on, peak Holmes lasts just 1 more round than the old man with 3 weeks training???
You're saying that no way does Louis get stopped but Holmes gets stopped in 4? I'd say Holmes had the better defence and chin out of him and Louis.
i think tyson beats any version of holmes. thats just my opinion. that first right hand tyson hit holmes with, its a punch holmes was highly susceptible to his whole career including his prime. holmes had another problem of trying to slug it out and fightback when he was hurt, which is suicide against a 1980s mike.
i said no way louis gets stopped by ali. is ali a better puncher and finisher than mike tyson?
i think louis's defense was better than holmes defense, but thats another thread.

Louis didn't have the best of chins...but Ali wasn't known for his punching prowess either...while Ali proved he could take a punch numerous times.
I dont think Ali would have stopped Louis myself. If anybody would have done the stoppage, it would have been Louis knocking out Ali, and I dont think even Louis could do that---but Louis had very great speed and accuracy and timing in his punches, with dynamite in em every time.
Be hard to call, but I'd rather perfer Ali beating Louis by decision, cus knocking out Louis be pretty hard, cus Ali wasn't known for it.
Closest example I could ever see of an Ali vs Louis fight was the Charles/Louis fight, course Louis was passed his prime and took one helluva beating, but he was never knocked out.

Joe's defence was that he was so devestating that the other guy was more worried about what was coming at him rather than throwing his own shots. I remember Tommy Farr in an interview saying that Joe hit him with a right to the forehead and Farr felt as if his head had a dent in it.
I always think a great jab is both an offensive and defensive weapon. Joe and Larry both had tremendous jabs. I don't see Ali stopping Louis either...

actually joe louis corrected that problem. unfortunetly holmes never corrected that problem and thats why he was caught with right hands throughout his career
