Fair play to sweetscience - he really had the inside line on this one - he knew it was off before Macklin did!

Really disappointed though, it has the makings of a real fire cracker.

I am glad they are looking to reschedule, but in retrospect Matt could have gone ahead with that fight at MSG after all.

Still, a late June date will make for a great summer showdown.

C'mon Macklin - bring the title back to Brum!

The timing of the Moore fight had nothing to do with Macklin not boxing on the New York bill. The reason was that the opponent was a lot heavier than Macklin.

Billy Graham refused to let Macklin fight on the grounds that it wasnt safe or in his interets considering the fact that the opponent was so many more pounds heavier.

I know the reasons they didnt take the match but with no British title showdown in the pipeline there was a greater chance they would risk the fight.

i was told it will be rescheduled early june so he cant be badly injured
