I would think that both Stanley Ketchell and Bob
Fitzsimmons belong on the list of the hardest
punchers in the middleweight of all time.

Yep good call :TU:

Stan Kitten Hayward? Heard he could wack, or maybe it was just that he was an excellent fighter. Great nickname :TU:

I reckon it's safe to say Julian Jackson hit just about as hard as any middleweight who ever walked the planet. Can you imagine anyone hitting harder than him? Should be illegal if it was possible.

The G Man deserves honorable mention too.

Bob Fitzsimmons- At not more than Middleweight class he took titles at Middleweight, Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight; his power was unchanged despite facing (his largest opponent) men 6'7" 240 pounds, knocking them out.

Stanley Ketchell- Knocked out the very best in an era very deep in talent, beating even Light Heavyweights and his flash knock down of Jack Johnson is very memorable.

Other mentions:

Marvin Hagler
Archie Moore

You need to brush up on your studies, you obviously know nothing about these fighters that you're branding 'lame'... I'm afraid that it's your boxing knowledge that is rather lame...

I would say either Bob Fitzsimmons or Stanley Ketchel were tops at middleweight.

Some other whose names I did not see mentioned who were hard hitters.:

Randy Turpin

Chong-Pal Park
Bennie Briscoe
Rafael Merentino
Roy Jones
Tony Mundine
Dave Sands
Alfie Sands
Gratien Tonna
Ossie Stewart
Jean Mateo

Then some that I don’t know much about, but who have pretty tremendous records:

Eliseo Quintana
Kurt Prenzel
Bill Larrigo
Clive Stewart

I'm starting to think that they put you in here either as comic relief or just to keep things "stirred-up".

What your mentionig reminds me of the one punch knockout Wilfred Benitez dropped on Mo Hope. Wilfred wasnt regarded as a big puncher. Hope might have something to say about that.

Hagler my boyhood hero but wasn't an enormous puncher. don't get me wrong he hit very hard but was more about his accuracy and the way he'd wear fighters down. For one punch power it has to be mclellen. Benn said he'd never felt anything like it. that guy hit like a truck.

TBF ggg hits dam hard too. He's a big puncher and no mistake.

Others, well jackson and hearns huge punchers but both lt middles. Fitz huge puncher oh and langford was a monstrous puncher. Hostak has the rep as being a huge puncher too - kind of a 1930s hearns.

All in all Id go g man,

Now, looking back and thinking about it. These 4 should be the hardest punching middleweights of all time:
Stanley Ketchel
Bob Fitzsimmons
Julian Jackson
Gennady "GGG" Golovkin

Out of that list, I stay with Jackson. This guy was so devastating it made me wonder what did he eat back then to have a punch like that. He was an unbelievable knockout artist!
