Everything I've read about those two fights suggested it they were razor-thin, 50-50 jobs, so surely there's nothing particularly controversial in Mullan saying he thought Finnegan took both?

Lewis clearly won the first fight. I gave him 8 out of the 12 rounds, but it was a safety first performance for the most part and made disappointing viewing. Not that should have affected the decision. Lewis was boring, Holyfield totally ineffective, but Lennox won confortably on the cards. Or should have. I seem to remember the female judge as being quoted as saying she didn't even have a clear view or some nonsense. She was the one who had Evander winning.


Worse decision I can think of in the last 10 years, off the top of my head, was the mind bending verdict handed to David Barnes over Jimmy Vincent.
