The Prince has been very stupid.

At least he won't be pontificating about his faith anymore, not that he is just as sinful as the rest of us!!!

Yes, obviously being a complete twat when behind the wheel of a car is a gift from Allah too...

Well, he's been sentenced, he'll serve his time, and hopefully he will become a better man for it.

To err is human.....

The victim in this case has had his life destroyed by Hameds reckless and idiotic behaviour. I hope he gets the chance to sue the prick for millions. It's the least Hamed deserves.

Let's get this in perspective, whilst Hamed is undoubtedly irresponsible thrashing his car around at 90mph on a dangerous road, it's not like he assaulted the bloke with a hammer and deliberately tried to kill him, I doubt Hamed went out thinking 'I'm going to drive like a loonie and see if I can kill someone and maybe even myself in the process'

Hamed might be stupid, but it doesn't make him the fornicating antichrist.

I think there's a lot of gloating about this because he is a wealthy man, but he's hardly the only man to have fucked someone over in a crash.

Good point James but it throws up many interesting questions.

If you ran someone over driving within the speed limit but you had been a half pint over the limit you would probably get more time inside than Hamed got for this.

But in my opinion Hamed's crime is far worse. There are too many pudenda driving on the road in my opinion, boy racing little pricks.

What's the maximum penalty for driving while intoxicated?

The judge himself stated that the maximum he was able to give hamed was 24 months by law, and that had he killed the guy, it was 14 years. He also stated (In Ian's thorough report) that he was more or less forced to reduce his sentence further, as Hamed pleaded guilty.

Hamed should thank his lucky stars the guy didn't die, because it was touch and go at one point.

No you're right he's not the only man to have ever done it but that still doesn't make it right does it? It also doesn't make it right that he also left the scene of the accident either does it? No doubt if it was your family involved in this accident, that could have needlessly been avoided, you would not be so blase about it all.

Take Lee Hughes, the footballer, as another prime example no doubt he didn't mean to do it but he did and ending up killing one of the other people involved! Just because he didn't mean it is not an excuse to water down what Naz did!

As an aside though, in a way it is refreshing to see that even his millions could not get him off this charge, as we regularly see happen (albeit mainly with speeding footballers) in other cases involving professional sportsmen/celebrities!!

I honestly don't believe that Naz will get a hard time in nick as money really does talk and after his first two weeks or so he will no doubt be moved out to a cushty open nick!!!

Not wanting to hark back to Lee Hughes but he is the best comparison i have. When he first got sentenced everyone was banging on about him being locked up with Wolves/Blues/Cov/Villa fans and the hard time he was going to be in for but as rumours have it he has had a fairly easy time and his money has seen him through alright!!!

Naz has a now left his heavily pregnant missus with a young family without a father for 15 months (but technically could be out in 3/4 months on tag) as well as totally changing and affecting another families whole life just because he was "trying to impress" someone!! Not on in my books........

Could be worse in Brazil Edmundo (the animal) was allowed out on day release to play football after killing someone in a car crash

And your point is exactly? Aside from spitting bile all over the place, what exactly do you think should be done. And he won't be out in 3-4 months, he will serve at least half his sentence, which is 7 1/2 months, and possible more if he has any altercations inside.

Perhaps you think that they should remove his testicles, or allow the family to run him over in return?

I'll bet those 7 months in jail will feel long enough for Hamed to reflect on the error of his ways. The purpose of jail is not merely punishment, but rehabilitation. The fact he is banned for 4 years, and has to take an extended test, means he is not going to be behind the wheel for a long time if ever.

I'm of the opinion that people should get life bans from driving for serious offences, especially for Naz, who can afford to have a driver anyhow.

I thought Naz's barrister did a good job. But it was obvious (and in fact stated) that the judge wanted to give him a much heftier sentence.

What about drink drivers who have killed people yet get off with a few months?.... to me that Hamed is being made an example of.
The worst thing that he did was flee the scene... and this could be put doen perhaps to him panicking. I don't really see the point in Jialing Hamed... it was an accident... its not like hes a danger to society. He should have just got a very long ban and be made to pay a hefty compensation bill to the victim... his being in jail is not going to benifit anyone but those gloating at his come down...

I wonder what the victim would have said if he was involved - 15 months jail sentence for Naz or do you want £2 million?

But of course, there are wider implications than this.

Or Tyson for rape (if he did it), or PBF for wife beating, or Lamotta for wife beating

It doesn't make what Hatton did right but I wonder if some of the people that rag on him wouldn't do the same with a McClaren F1.

That's another thing I hate. Like it was due to Hamed's great judgement the guy didn't pop his clogs.

I shoot someone point blank, they don't die it's attempted murder, they die it's murder.

There should be absolutely no difference in what you are charged with, it's down to the grace of god the victim didn't die, nothing to do with your own judgement, and I apply that to Hamed.

15 months sounds good to me, like others have already said, teach him a lesson, set an example.

Who knows, he may be lose a few stone and be fit for his comeback..

He will probably come out even fatter, locked up for 24 hours a day with nothing to do other than watch trisha, eat chocolate digestives and masturbate. The Prince could become the Heavyweight divisions new saviour.

That's an amazing thing to do - eveyone that I've known who has been sent down has said that they hardly get any letters and they really mean a lot when you do get mail.

Yeah - remember to ad a PS as follows: "In future you might bear in mind that if you are less arrogant, fewer people will think you are such a pudendum; and there will be less joy and laughter when you encounter misfortune."
