Magee, Tak and Khan this weekend

Takaloo was far too mobile for him, as I thought he would be. Magee had to feel the effects of his injuries and another 14 month lay-off.

Tak boxed to orders, never stood in front of him and from what I heard on the radio and saw on TV, the majority decision stank and Magee was comfortably beaten.

Took Tak a few rounds to get into it but considering he was underdog and fighting in the other guy's back yard he did well. He's certainly boxing in a more controlled manner now and has the look of a solid, seasoned top British welterweight.

I'm doubtful if he could beat one of the major title holders but fair play to him cos his career looked over after the Alexander KO and he'scome back after a barren couple of years and turned things around.

If Magee had been more aggressive, I think that would have played even more into Takaloo's hands... he's a much better counterpuncher than he's shown throughout most of his career.

Plus, for the first time in his career, he will now be fighting men who aren't naturally bigger than he is.

He should have been a welterweight from the off. Chuffed for him because he hasn't had anything handed to him on a plate and I don't just mean his boxing career.

Magee was awful. Takaloo did more than enough from what i saw. To score that a draw ( as one judge did) Magee would have to have won everyone of the first 5 rounds (unseen on TV) by my reckoning.

I was impressed with Takaloo tonight, although a prime Magee would have beat him IMO. Can't really comment about the decision thanks to ITV only showing 6 rounds, but the commentators seemed fairly sure that Tak won comfortably.

Takaloo doesn't have a chance at winning a world title at 147, but has some good fights at domestic level with the likes of Muttley, Jennings, Anderson etc.

Magee did look poor, should have had one or two warm ups before that - ring rust didn't help his cause and Tak's size advantage (Magee is still probably a natural Light Welter) had a huge bearing on the fight.

I wouldn't mind seeing Magee retire now, but part of me doesn't what that fight to be the last memory - how about a fight with Lenny Daws.

As for Tak, credit where it is due - he looks completely different to his light middle, he's now got a tiny waist line.

The win will elevate him up the rankings, if he is too fight for a geniune world title, then the only one he should consider is Margarito - that would actually be fairly intriguing as both a massive Light Welter and it appears that this is their major factor. Although his chances would probably be between slim and none against any of the champs.

He wouldn't beat either of these two, not a chance in hell. I thought the fight was a stinker. Tak has fast hands but he's wide open to a guy who can dig a bit, Kev Anderson would give him a beating no problem, as well as a couple of other british guys I'm sure. Good fight to make once Anderson gives Muttley a doing.

On last nights showing I would give Takaloo or Magee no chance of winning a World Title. Although both could still compete at domestic level if they can still get motivated, that is.

I won mine too, but betfair are withholding payment because there is an investigation into when the fight actually started. Apparently they had their market on the fight open till 10.30 cos they thought it was live on ITV.

Won’t affect me (i hope) as I got my bet matched at 5pm.

I had some late money on at Betfair just before 9, fortunately they have paid out
