Well usually he has a big article in a few papers every day leading upto his fights, mostly backing him and praising. I haven't read many newspapers this week, but I get the "News of The World" every Sunday, with allegedly's column, will let you know what he has to say, he's usually VERY critical of Hatton.

Some papers said that Hatton was a bit lucky, but Collazo was an awkward customer, others said it was a tough fight but Ricky just deserved the win.

British papers traditionally build people up and then knock them down - especially if the athlete in question gives them some reason (however small) to do so.

Luckily Hatton is a very normal bloke who keeps his head down outside the ring and respects his sport. He doesn't shout his mouth off or get into trouble so the only the real snipes the tabloids have at him are about his weight inbetween fights.

Amazingly there are a few sportsmen/women in this country who are famous just for the sporting endevours rather than what they get up to in their private lives!

Its a funny old game as they say. Some of the same people who slag off Hatton for not looking good when he won will either tell you themselves, or stand by and listen while others say one of the best fighters ever was Marciano, especially american fans. Marciano was ugly to watch to a horrible degree, and without dodgy referees in N.Y. would probably have been stopped at least three times due to cuts.
Secondly this talk of PBF being after Oscar is total bullshit, Oscar has been hit by Trinidad, Quartey, Mosley, Vargas, amonst others, and if anyone thinks the 5'8" stick insect Mayweather can possibly hurt or outbox the 5 weight champion then i will walk down Oxford St naked on a Saturday morning. It is the humiliation that frightens me not the fear of being arrested. Oscars left hand is still a thing to be reckoned with and at 5'11"and a much bigger built man DLH would literally switch Mayweather off whenever it suited him
Finally, allegedly's column in that so called newspaper poses four questions about Ricky Hatton's sorte into Boston last week.Well i have a question. Why does allegedly keep trying to seek publicity from someone that threw him out like the rest of the garbage that he had no further use for?

i think floyd went to 147 partly because he knew this and that he also had a good idea that hattons ability would be compromised at 147 and that he would win at that weight.

I always felt the main reasons Mayweather went up to Welterweight was to collect another World title and to increase the possibility of a huge fight with De La Hoya.

But if you are saying that you would rather see a Hatton vs Mayweather Jr fight happen at 140lbs as Hatton would be more effective at that weight and Mayweather Jr knows this, then I agree.

I would like to see Hatton "grow" into the weight, dont forget 7 weeks before Collazo Ricky was training to fight Jaun Lazcano at 140, and that is all the time he had to put on muscle not just weight. Mayweather went up to fight a mover like himself, I think there is a strong possibility if R.H puts the weight on correctly he could walk right through Mayweather like he did Tszyu.
