Tis a strange one, perhaps there are some licensing issues involved, or distribution rights, christ knows.

I've no idea either.... I have alledgely (to be on the safe side) heard the Holdsworth has made some claims that he holds the broadcasting rights to any non televised boxing event in Britain (even ones he doesn't attend). A bit of a claim that, it cannot be true surely...but it got me thinking when I had a flat out no.

Fair play to my old Amateur boxing club, they didn't mind anyone bringing a camera and would even give out a free copy of the proffesionally done video of the home show to each of the home boxers that were on the bill. They had quite a big archive and I bought a few of the older shows.

I cannot see why small hall promoters do not do this. We have talk in the past about a boxing channel on Sky.... but why don't they start at selling tapes. It would be very little expense, even if they made a small stand and only sold tapes of their previous show at the next show. I'm sure they would get a few sales and could pretty much name their price. Even if it just covered the cost of the camerman, it would still promote their fighters in a far better way than word of mouth.
