Stu i presume you are referring to Abdul Kaddu?? Flip i remember how bad SKY sports matchups used to be back then. Kaddu was a tubby Cruiser from Uganda who threw shots while holding onto the ropes and danced in the middle of the ring!

Thats the fella, the even interviewed someone high up (think it might have been Simon Block) with the BBBoC asking why this man was sanctioned to fight for a vacant title. Mind you the main event that night was good - Cook vs Zoff EBU Lightweight title.

I really think there should be a closer regulator with regards to the sanctioning of Commonwealth title fights. I know the upset happend, but did Munyai's "on paper" record justify a CO-CHALLENGER slot with Power.

The looseness with regards to sanctioning a Commonwealth title fight was also shown when it appeared the Maloney was offering the Commonwealth title as an incentive to just about any British Light Welterweight to take on Olusegun a few weeks back. Colin Lynes, Ted Bami, and GARY REID were all deemed acceptable by the Commonwealth Council - it appeared that any name Maloney mentioned would have got clearance.

I know this happens with other paper world championships like the WBU (look at Mark Hobson's co challenger) - but I don't give a feck about them, I do about the Commonwealth belt.
