I'm pretty sure Jones was juicing a lot until caught. I'd say a lot of top fighters might use some sort of assistance. I mean look at Mosley for example other than the recent Vargas fight where he was fighting a walking punchbag he has not looked 'himself' since the Balco thing was blown apart.

That ref is so pro Jones its a joke
Everytime Ajamu is getting inside he's breaking them up, and warned Prince for one lowblow, when Jones has landed over 5 lowblows himself, what a load of shite!
Fight is turning dull now after 5 rounds, Adjamu is smothering his punches.

Jones Jr looked better than I thought he was going to with some brief glimpses of his glory days.
He can still compete at World level but is no where near the fighter he was and if he keeps fighting he will soon lose again I believe.

To be fair, Bob Mee (The colour commentator) basically stated your opinions on these two things that Holdsworth brought up.... and said it well.
"Come on, he got knocked out by Glen Johnson" was his response to Steve Holdsworths claims that Valuev vs Jones would be an intriguing contest. Well, he started off by questioning his punch resistance to which Holdsworth responded "but Valuev can't punch".

Christ, Valuev might not be a big puncher for his size, but he would annihilate Jones Jr if he landed. His punch technique seems to have improved of late, and Jones would have difficulty reaching the big guys chin.
Wish Vitali K would come out of retirement and face Valuev that would be a good fight I think.

Yes - Steve Holdsworth was a very decent amateur by most accounts and did turn pro in the late 70's.

I loved Holdworth's little blurb he wrote for our magazine (the ill fated uppercut of lore), in the insert inside.
"I gave up boxing due to hand injuries, the referee kept treading on my fingers when he was counting over me."

I'm sure I remember Holdsworth saying once that he broke his hand(s) in almost every fight he ever had,
