If we add Sullivan-Kilrain, we should seriously think about also including Molineaux-Cribb or Mendoza-Humphries.
In fact, the Olympic boxing competitors in ancient Greece shouldn't be ignored totally either....

Why don't you count the Sullivan-McCaffery fight as the first "modern" HW title fight since it was the inaugural MoQ HW title fight? And there were others that Sullivan fought as well prior to the Corbett fight.

Fine, Sullivan-McCaffery then. I have no strong passions about this. But you're right that there were notably fights under the Queensberry rules some years before Sullivan-Corbett; including also Corbett-Choynksi or Corbett-Jackson. In fact, both could legitly be added to the original list.

I didn’t mean that Sullivan-McCaffery should be added to a list of great HW fights, but that Corbett-Sullivan was not the first MoQ HW titlefight. That was, I believe, Sullivan-McCaffery.
Corbett-Sullivan would probably rate as one of the most famous HW fights of all time. Obviously it was more famous than Sullivan-McCaffery.

By the way Pundit great putting Johansson vs Patterson I on the list
Great list by the way but maybe Carnera vs Uzcudun should be there not because it was a great fight but because it was the first nonamerican heavyweight title fight it was staged in Italy Carnera-italian and Uzcudun-spanish

If you don't know punkit is totally ignorant of earlier boxing he expresses such antagonism for, that is your problem.
