Calzaghe Opponent To Be Named Today...
Re: Mundine
Beating Mundine would do absolutely nothing for Calzaghe.Boxing Addict wrote:He should fight MUNDINE, Calzaghe & Warren are both batty boys always taking easy fights.
If Calzaghe is the best super middle then he should fight MUNDINE.
Cracking fight if it happens!!!!
Then fight the winner of Kessler Vs Beyer for all the titles.
That proves he is the best super middle.
Why beat on Kessler's recent opponents when he should be fighting Kessler himself?
Re: Mundine
Well Kessler is fighting Beyer on the same date so Calzaghe still needs an opponent for October. Why not Mundine he is the best available? It wont be him though it will be some 2 bob opponent.Axe wrote:Beating Mundine would do absolutely nothing for Calzaghe.Boxing Addict wrote:He should fight MUNDINE, Calzaghe & Warren are both batty boys always taking easy fights.

Floyd set his date for November and no one bitched when his was still TBA.nickd wrote:Announcing Calzaghe opponents has become an absolute joke, just look at the absolute farce last time before he pulled out injured.
Why do they bother setting these dates when they will announce the opponent only to cancel?
SHAMBLES!
Was not on the internet yesterday to see this my Welsh betraying boxrec friend. :PIs Max in hiding until the Calzaghe opponent is announced? Could be a while yet.

Max Molyneux where are you? Its still TBA mate!
Well it is hard to make superfight after superfight happen and it rarely ever does.Fwank pisses me off, I want another superfight!
Plus no way, I don't want to end up paying 15 quid to watch Calzaghe on Sky Box Office getting ripped off like we do with Hatton.
When a fighter deserves it though, he has gotten them a proper world title though so he's not all bad.One thing I have learned over the years when it comes to Sports Network/allegedly - one swallow does not make a summer.
I'm proud of any British fighter who tries his best on the world scene or wins a proper world title. Well he might of possibly ducked someone but theres no proper proof of it and I'm sure it's happened both ways. Now, as an American, I have to ask this. I understand you guys are proud of Joe and the absolute beating he put down on Lacy. However, he obviously has pulled this type of shit before, and still continues to do it even after having his bandwagon fill up. Are you guys sick of this shit by now, or is it pretty much accepted as standard practice for him?
Well I've not been sick of it because I've only been a fan for just over 2 years.

That's pretty funny. Let's hope TBA can bounce back from his loss to Nigel Wright, he's got a pretty busy schedule coming up.nickd wrote:Haha I seriously can't believe TBA has a fighter page on Warren's site.jomothepure wrote:www.allegedly.tv/drill/indexboxers.ph ... xers&id=17![]()

The only hint we had about this very popular and busy fighter was a loss by KO in the 4th round vs Nigel Wright.
From boxrec's record ... TBA is ..... Valery Kharyanov in the Light Middleweight (fighting at 140 pound WTF) division. Still better than a lightweight for joe :p

From what i hear the problem is the IBF want Joe to fulfill his mandatory against German boxer Robert Stieglitz , this isn't what Frank would want , as he had lined up a defense against american Joey Spina.
Stieglitz has been pretty pally with the IBF , having held various minor titles of theirs. So Frank will find it a pain trying to get out of the mandatory, he may have to pay a step aside fee to Stieglitz.
Spina would be the easier fight to sell to american audiences, as he is at least known over there. Spina has had a couple of decent wins and is a good supermiddle.
Robert Stieglitz isn't known anywhere so would be a very bad opponent for Joe to face looking at it commercially
I can't give an opinion on Stieglitz as i've not seen him box.

Spina sucks, he won't sell anything, neither fight does anything for Joe, especially over here. Spina drew Spearman who was KOed by prospect Curtis Stevens in 2 not long after.topper123 wrote:From what i hear the problem is the IBF want Joe to fulfill his mandatory against German boxer Robert Stieglitz , this isn't what Frank would want , as he had lined up a defense against american Joey Spina.
