Are you sure about 'the kids of today'? Last I heard, the mexicans, Colombians, Philippines etc have some very hungry 'kids' who become fighters.

I think he was referring to people growing up here in America. Ever since WW2, and especially during and after Korea and Vietnam, it seems the culture became more the entitlement nation--- and you seldom do see people have to get out of their comfort zones and strive for something. You see this especially among the heavyweights here in the States.
