Well, I had it a draw. 6-6. There could have been an argument for Johnson losing the 2nd - but also an argument for a 10-8 round in the tenth.
Micky Vann did his job though! Lol!.
Same problem with Johnson for most of his big fights.... he can fight at a tremendous fight for 9 rounds, but he cannot do 12 rounds at the same intensity. He took rounds off in the previous two meetings.

I had it 114-113 to Johnson but too close to argue. Suprised at that P Rican judge - he had it to Woods easy.

yeah i could see how u had it 6-6.
rd 2 was debateable.
johnson would get crucified by calzaghe.
calzaghe would thrash woods to as well.

I have to say the "Woods has improved" tag has been considerably overated. Johnson is slowing and it was his legs that cost him the fight, as opposed to the great improvement Woods has made.

Yep, I agree with all that. I meant 9th as the possible 10-8.

woods was so open to that right over the top.

it was almost embarassing how often he was getting tagged with it. johnson couldn't miss at some points in the fight.
but fornicate it woods won and keeps his title.

Away from the boxing, and I see the lovely Lucy Cohen (now Owen unfortunately) is doing the big national news.
I hope that doesn't mean she is leaving Wales TV.

fancy Mickey Vann having it 3 points in favour of Johnson!!!
seems kinda strange as i always thought if MV said it and it included the word boxing, it was damn well true. But imo Glencoffe DID NOT win that extremely close and gruelling fight.

I had Johnson 2 up goin in to the 10th
Woods won the last 3 so he nicked it 115-114 Woods
Good fight

woods had to win the last 3 and respect to him he did just that. glen gambled on ending it in the first half or around 9 before he ran out of gas.
hats off to clinton woods this was a tough one and glen johnson still ranks big with me - very enjoyable fight.
i think clints cornerman was getting a bit pissed with ricky hatton - he told him to keep quiet at one stage.

Woods won that 7-5. Well deserved. He was out of it but he came back & won the championship rounds.
Stop bitching and give Woods his dues. Woods is well improved and it showed in the result. Consider that in the 1st 2 fights Woods was doing more defending than attacking. No wonder he got caught more in this far more offensive battle & no wonder he was tired. He put more on the line, threw more combos, paced the fight just right.
If Woods wins on a Warren-Warrior's promotion, no way is that a 'home decision'. CW was on a hostile promotion.
This is one of the best fights we'll see this year. I knew that the standard of boxing would be way better this time, between the pair, & it was.

This is more like it. The Americans on current scene are screaming "robbery", which is ridiculous. I can understand someone scoring it to Johnson by one or two rounds, but it was a very close fight and never in a million years was it a robbery.

9-3 Johnson.
Robbery
