2 questions.

1) Do you think Five will be interested in any other shows?

2) Is any TV company interested in Kevin Houston's show? Crying shame about Asiku, but looks to be a good card and should be an interesting night.

1) Not sure mate. Jon Feld said they had a three fight deal with them.

2) Not as yet, but they are going to make a documentary about the show hopefully and someone might take them up on it.

I think Choi-Rutherford is a closer fight any opinions?

I hope Satanta or maybe Eurosport (its on a Tuesday isn't it - their live boxing night) pick it up.

As for your second fight, on current form no doubt Choi vs Rutherford is a closer match than Asiku vs Rutherford. However, alot would have depended on how much Rutherford has got left as too how competitive he would have been vs Asiku.

I saw a prime Roy as a little bit better than just domestic class. For me he beat Dazzo Williams the first time and I think both he and Williams would have won the European title had someone like Cyril Thomas (just EBU title class, no futher) and not Nicky Cook (flashes of World class) held the title. You know the level, Boris Sinistin, Giuseepe Lauri etc.

Remember a few years back when Rutherford was touted as a warm up fight for Brodie before his second encounter with Chi.... most saw it as an excellent fight, and saw Rutherford as a decent bridge between journeyman and elite.

Asiku hasn't beaten, to my knowledge, a fighter as good as a prime Rutherford. However, in Callaghan and McKeever he's probably beaten a better fighter than the one who lost to Corcoran. However, Rutherford was given lots of time to prepare and was back to his better weight.... I still think Asiku would beat even Rutherford at his best, for my money he is going all the way - but you never know, cause he hasn't beaten that callibre of fighter yet.

Choi vs Rutherford could be very interesting, Choi is underated. I would favour him to beat the shot version we saw getting battered by Corcoran, quite comfortably. Although, I would have favoured a prime Roy to beat Choi comfortably.... so a good gage as to how much he has left.

If Roy does beat Choi comfortably, then he would be a welcome re-addition to the exciting featherweight scene. Like to see a prime Roy vs Morris, Matthews, Munroe, Foster, Simpson etc.

Wonderful performace from Ovill. Haymer just couldn't cope with McKenzie's aggression and accuracy.

Asiku was a bit unlucky vs Gairy St Clair. St Clair would go on to give Corrales a hard fight (despite being half his size and probably a stone lighter on fight night) & then take the IBF super feather title.

Yeah, I think Five did the best they could this time. They couldn't change the camera work - but at least got rid of the half asleep voice over man. Obviously, edited commentry - no Woodhall and Holdsworth clearly knew the result before hand (he said Haymer was looking lethargic 20 seconds into the bout).

McKenzie performance reminded me of Bonecrusher Smith vs Witherspoon. Quite surprised though how many times Haymer got hurt, cause Haymer is normally very durable.

Oh jeez. I hyped it up from day one and then missed it!!!

Is it just me or was that undercard fight stopped very prematurely, you know the one with the tyson imitator, forgot his name but I might have fell asleep and missed something..

mckenzie looked great . He would give clint woods some problems. but bet clint wont fight him, not enough money and too much risk.

After a more awake viewing of the show, I have to say Five could have done a much better job - even discounting the mistakes they couldn't rectify (the cameraman).

What was with the 30 second rounds with the undercard!!!! I freaking hate that.

Yeah, the camera work was very distracting.

I think the undercard stuff was just a bit extra they put in there because the main event ended so quickly.

I think the package was different to say, Eurosport last night, who did a wonderful job in showing Darren Barker v Hussein Osman. They showed the whole ten rounds!

Yes thats true, I always make sure I watch/tape Eurosport when they show cards originally shown on Sky. Usually if there is a big main event and it goes long, Sky only often show the main fight in full. However, Eurosport cut the hype etc and nearly always show parts of the bill that Sky didn't.

I agree that C5 probably only added the other bouts cause of the shortness of the main event. However, I prefer it when the editor only shows the final round (but in full) as opposed to all the rounds, but only about 10 seconds of each.... No way to gauge a fight that.
