With Sprott-Nielsen somewhere nearby
No, Nielsen is not ready for that level yet. Nielsen needs to see a sports psychologist first, he got a mental problem when he steps into the ring.

 :D You crazy Danish. First you spring the Markussen result on us, then you imply 'ol stone cold isn't the next linear champ? Was he pretty poor tonight? Granted he's had a heft lay-off, but surely his investors won't be that patient with his progress given the odd Julius Francis, I mean, slip up, he's made?

The fight wasnt televised (but I hope to get a copy of it anyway), but it sounds like Steffen fourgh tlike he have done in all post-Francis 1 fights, he simply freezes up when the action gets going.

Shock main event result, Beyer must have been even more deteriorated than first thought, but after the wins over Mundine and now Beyer it means Kessler is a serious threat to Calzaghe. This fight is no foregone conclusion, would be great if it was made.

Makes me think i wonder what would have happened had Beyer not got cut in with Bika. I reckon Beyer was there for the taking and we may have a new WBC champion already in Bika.

Translated interview with Markussen:

"...I wont stop boxing. It wasnt an asskicking that I got. I just didnt want to continue, I just sat down. Sure the first one hit me, but I wasnt shaken. The second I just sat down because I didnt have the courage and psyche that you have to have to box the fight. I already knew that before I entered the ring says Rudy Markussen that was stopped in the 7th round."
