I honestly do not believe there is any hope for this man. How come he keeps getting into scrapes time and again? Is it the company he keeps? Or is he just a full blown piss head?

I have no sympathy for him. I doubt he'll ever box again either. All he should focus on now is sorting his life out.

The guy is a prize wanker its clear as day. We dont know the full facts but he's clearly whacked a couple of people here, and he's already due in court on six other charges of assault including assaulting a copper. Harrison = pudendum end of story.

He's clearly a thug, one or two assaults perhaps we could give him the benefit of the doubt but six assaults over here, two over there and two of the victims are coppers. The guy is out of control and needs to be banged up.

I have every sympathy for the people he's attacked, but must say that I feel that Scott is ill, theres being a spoilt wanker and theres being out of control... and right now Harrison is out of control... I think his problems are more than just down to him being an arsehole, I think he may well be mentally ill... there certainly has to be something wrong with someone when they go and destroy their own career like Scott is doing... the problem is he's been let off too many times... he should have been locked up and given treatment round about the time he was banned from about every bar in Scotland and he may have been genuinely back on the rails by now...
He hasnt been helped by his new manager who seems to have a good line in stand up comedy 'Scotts done nothing wrong' and 'the fight will go on' are definately classic lines which Hughes should impart to his poor grandchildren when their old enough to understand what a prat their grandfather is... 8)

Good post, from what I can see I don't there has been a thorough diagnosis of Scott's problems. Sure it seems Alcohol is the major problem - but there might be some underlying issues.

Yes, I can understand the frustations that his fans and boxing fans might have - and I agree that his new management team shouldn't be brushing it under the carpet. Scott has serious mental problems and they are so hard to diagnose - reading this report I'm not that convinced he just has depression.

For example, my cousin (sorry for keep mentioning my family in various threads) really could have been a senior international (Wales) footballer. He was a year younger than premiership star Simon Davies and for my money he was every bit as good at 16/17 and had a much better physique.

Anyway, he went what we thought off the rails at around the 16 when his younger brother died aged 10. He surprisingly (cause he was bright and was expected to get straight A's) failed ALL his GSCE's but was fortunate enough to get on a BTEC course in Sports. However he would miss most of his lecturers to be playing football. All of us just thought, oh well he is depressed cause of his brother.

He got a trial at Watford, who were struggling in the Premiership as they are now with a small squad. They were very impressed and told him on the phone that they wanted to take him on and he'd be amongst the seniors.... on one condition though.... He'd cut his hair. He told them to feck off. This was despite the fact that he always said how lucky his mate Simon Davies had been. TWO WEEKS LATER he cut his hair off his own accord. Again we all thought, we'll its depression.

A few years down the road and a few minor (odd) scuffles, which saw him in and out of work and also out of his cricket side for headbutting the empire... he moved out of his family home and thats when the real problems begin. He would litterally just go through rages where he would seriously damage his house and take off in his car for ours. As a close family, my father would get a call (as a carpenter) to fix up the house. My cousin would go home appologise humbly and would just say "I've got all the pent up agression".

This happened many times and word got around and as a precaution more than anything else he got banned from pubs/etc (never hit someone in a pub). The last time he did this he was missing for hours and took off with a knife.... He said to counselers that he couldn't control these rages... so when he was found he was locked up, had no choice.

He has just gone through a thorough examination and the shrinks are now no longer treating him for depression, but Schizophrenia. They think all of his incidents (from failing his GSCE's) had more do to with his condition than his depression for his brothers death.

Unfortunatly alot of people don't get diagnosed with certain conditions till the damage has been done, I think mental illness has been one of the most neglected areas in the health service,
but also some people are just nasty and bullies as well.

Harrison always struck me as quite intelligent, but drink just doesn't seem to suit him, there's alot of people around who are nice as pie, till they have a drink ,then they turn into violent wankers.

It does seem that Harrison has only been in trouble when he's had to much to drink.

Yes this is the sort of thing I have been thinking about Harrison... its the irrationality of the incidents that sticks out for me... and people suffering from this sort of thing often drink heavily and take drugs as a form of self medication but they arent really the underlying problem... its hard to get help often because it usually needs to be voluntary and it cant help if your surrounded by people who only seem interested in when your'e going to fight again...

If Harrison was simply a bully he'd have more control and would not be damaging his career like he has... his behaviour is that of someone who is not well imo... he should have been locked up a good while ago and forced to have help as thats probably the only way he will take it.....

The thing that pisses me off is that if the earlier incidents had been dealt with by our legal system then maybe this could have been avoided.

Perhaps he’ll get a good lawyer & get off, or get deported to serve any sentence over here. In which case he’ll probably be released in a few months with all this talk of reducing the prison population.

Most Spaniards speak good English, and she probably spoke to them in English because they were pissed up and shouting and swearing in English (well, Glaswegian, which is a close approximation*). I doubt there are many Spaniards living in touristy areas that haven't heard a pissed-up Brit shouting and swearing.

I used to work for Laithwaites, the company that runs the STWC. It was my first job after leaving Uni, putting my degree to good use as a phone-monkey.

Cushiest. Job. Ever. A call every 10-15 mins (except around Xmas), so you sit around and chat or get some reading done most of the time. And you get to buy bottles of wine for a quid.

Scott seems to be well sorted with his new coke dealing trainer and slightly mad manager.
I think it's only a matter of time before he hires Harry Simon as his chaffeur and puts Don King in charge of his finances.

I am the same, I can never have just a couple. But I limit the nights I go out or at the very least try to.

But I don't go around slapping people up.

Harrison is a wanker end of story. Yes he's ill he's probably an alcoholic but all these diagnosis' on here of mental illness on here are hearsay only. He could just be a pisshead who can't help himself at the end of the day.

Whatever his problems his career looks to be over. Probably good for him he would have taken a right beating next time up I reckon.
