I guess Inkin always had a chance given how fragile Veit has been in the past, but I thought he might control the younger man with his jab and use his experience to grind one out on points. Full credit to Inkin though, looks like he's better than showed last time out.

It was only Mario Veit though, he's had some good results of late but has never impressed me. Neither him and especially Brahmer came out with an enhanced reputation after their fight, and Charles Brewer was very shot when they met.

Veit is a stiff incapable of dealing with an agressive opponent.

Veit is certainly no stiff but he is nothing special either...a perennial fringe contender, imo...and he looked a bit past it to me.
That said, I thought Mario was winning the fight up until the KO (I had it an even fight, giving Inkin a slight benefit). On the whole, Inkin was unimpressive in my eyes, although he proved he can finish if needed.

Afraid not, unfortunately...youtube isn't exactly the greatest boxing resource, for example they have nothing on Chad Dawson despite him being on American TV multiple times already.

I had the Russian winning the first 3 or 4 rounds, by surprisingly out jabbing the much taller man. But Veit changed the fight with that accurate right hand in the 4th. I thought it was significant that Inkin froze for a second or so when it landed - if Veit had followed up with another one on the button, Inkin might have been in big trouble.
He came back well in the end though, after Veit had won rounds 5 & 6.
Showed promise and is no doubt a dangerous test for a lot of fighters, but I think his chin will prove the weak link when he's in with the top guns at SM.
Sergiy Dzinziruk really impressed me again. He looks a complete fighter: doesn't get the KO's, but he hits hard enough to keep em off him. The Russian looked dangerous early, with a very confident look about him.
Crouching low looking for the target, then coming in at weird angles and firing off hard looking punches.
But the champs guard is watertight. He has a similar style to Alexis Arguello: tall with hands held high as he stalks the other man, firing out a ramrod jab and following it with a straight right down the pike. Not in same league as AA of course, but he looks the Dark Horse at LM for my money.
And the Russian could prove a shocker for anyone looking to match him as a stepping stone with their prospect, based on that easy points win. A danger man by the looks of things.

inkin was all i expected and a little bit more!! his finishing instincts are superb---the double right---body then uppercut was classic early tyson!!
i stand by my original statement that he is #3 SM in world right now...behind calzaghe & kessler!!

Any of you guys remember him getting a slightly lucky decision against Ovill McKenzie.... Ovill dropped him in that fight !!!!!
