That's a big ask, literally. Price is one of the few guys I've watched, think he could be a decent pro, pretty quick for a guy of his size.

Dover's apparentely been getting worse and worse since I left, glad I got out when I did.

Dallas gave Derek Chisoria a fight last year, hurting him a few times. As James said, he's up against it this year.

Watch out for Khalid Saeed from Birmingham City ABC, he's a real talent and only 17. A former World Cadet Champ as well.

Yeah,he is a good fighter.
Been the best in Britain for some time at his weight.Think he will stay am for a while yet and try for Beijing.
Will certainly be one worth keeping track of when he does turn over.

He seems to really punch with some venom too, which is seemingly rarer in the modern amateur sport where knockdowns don't really count for much in terms of scoring due to the rubbish system in place.

He almost sparked that Cuban lad at the international and was the only guy to record a win out of the whole team. He's 26 now, will be 28 after beijing, a little late to turn pro in my opinion, but given the venerable age of the average modern heavyweight contender not as big a problem. It's just that the pro and amateur codes are so very different now, that I think it takes an amateur quite some time to adjust, so if he turned pro after beijing, he's like to be 30 or more before he is ready for an eight rounder.

Have heard good things about Saeed Tom,looking forward to seeing him in action.

The heavies should be good too.Bellew v Price(Danny)should be a good match up.

Got you, my cousin went to one to a few training camps a couple of years back down in Crystal Palace... they were trying to incorporate the women boxers. Audley made a visit.

Still think it is London then, might not be in terms of fighters but it is still the "home" of champions and still I think the place most Brits would like to fight at.

Not that many great champions out of Las Vegas, still the home of world boxing IMO.

That being the case, turning pro after beijing would be the perfect timing, still only 25-26, and a young heavyweight in today's terms, with plenty of time to learn his trade, and already with good amateur experience.

I can see Price getting a medal in Beijing. I think he would be wise not to hang around for a gold though, if he gets a medal, all well and good.

Of course, this is presuming he even wants to turn pro, for all I know he might want to be a computer programmer.

Yeah,the Indian(who looked a little small at super heavy)dropped him a couple of times quite heavily(although it always appears heavy when you weigh 17 stone+)in their fight.

Qualifying for the games is a hard task for our fighters given they have to compete with all the eastern europeans,who are well stocked at super heavyweight especially.
Although Price did well to rally and stop him on the 3 count rule.

Terence I hear they got robbed anywhere or the ABA play favoritism. Hear some get robbed because of their style.

David Price is a very good Amateur Boxer, he is the number one in Britain.

He is mid European level, and no where near World level. He wont qualify for the Olympics along with most of the English team.

The World Championships are 1st and you can use that tournament to judge the Olympics outcome, another disaster for British boxing.

The Commonwealth games should not be used to judge a UK boxer on, us Brits like the tournament as we win medals, reality is its us, Canada & some Aussies and thats it.

On the other hand i want him to qualify along with the other lads, reality its a no no!!

Stephen Smith and Frankie Gavin have chances of qualifying for Beijing.
If pressed to back any British fighter for qualification,it would be one or both of these fellas.

I'm saying nothing, I've already disgraced myself.

Perkins is good.How comes he did'nt enter the ABA's?
Do you reckon he will wait around till the olympics?
He is pretty old if he is planning an assault on the pro ranks,especially in his weight division.

Isn't the system being relaxed for 2012? Isn't there going to be an guarenteed entry in everyweight class for the Brits.... as it is the home Olympics.

If Price does fail to qualify for Beijing, would you recommend him to try for London if this is the case?
