As some people seem to have insinuated - I think its a bad move for Witter than this fight in on Sky Box Office. Less people will view it than those with Sky Sports!

If you were impressed with the 2-3 punches that Witter landed clean per round, then your very easily impressed. Yes, I cannot remember Corley landing anything clean, but I cannot remember him throwing anything also.

Witter has been dissapointed and shown flaws in his last 4 fights.... Although for the first 4/5 rounds vs Ndou he looked like the second best Light Welter on the planet (behind Mayweather).

He didn't go for the WBU like Hatton just so he could pay the bills and didn't buy his Lonsdale belt and had to become mandatory to get a world title.

Hatton wouldn't be Intimidated to wait for what Witter will do next like Corley and he won't wait for Witter to tire like Kotelnik, but his flaws aren't as bad as Hatton's.

His style Isn't too reliant on conditioning like Hatton eiter.

I liked the way he made Corley look crap, yet Corley was able to wobble Mayweather briefly and hurt Cotto(People thought that stoppage was controversial.)

It's a bad move for any boxer to fight on Sky Box Office, PPV doesn't draw much, while worse fights have drawn 8 million on ITV.

Diabolical excuse, and I dont buy that line for one second, but Witter fans will buy it. Hatton gets a lot of stick for his conditioning but one thing he doesnt do, is come into a ring unprepared.

The bottom line is every time you level somthing negative at Hatton, the same negativity can be leveled back at Witter, and in higher doses.

Hatton is under a HBO contract, they have there plans marked out for him. Together there aim is clear, to make Hatton a big name in the States. In order to do that Hatton must be in exciting fights. I've never seen Urango box but apperently his come forward style should make for a head on collision with Hatton = exciting brawl + IBF title for Hatton should he win. Castillo is on the undercard = Castillo challenges Hatton for next for his IBF title.... its a mega fight in the making.

Witter may have the WBC belt, but he is a complete unkown in the states and with a minute following in the UK. His last three fights have been absolute stinkers. Its no wonder Hatton or HBO are not interested in him.

But, for those out there that want it, there has to be hope that if Witter can hang onto his WBC belt long enough (which he will if he continues fighting stiffs!) that Hatton will eventually want for his belt (we all know he has a weak spot for the titles!). But, for me this fight is not important right now, i want to see Hatton in with the like's of Castillo & Mayweather. Until Witter beats a TOP tier name, and looks exciting doing so, i wont really care much for this fight!

The way most aren't complaining about Hatton not fighting Witter because he isn't a huge name but complain when Calzaghe doesn't fight Kessler who isn't a big name himself.

Saying Witter never wanted a slice of Magee is deceptive, hes fought better fighters than Magee before and since - you have to ask if Witter was offered very little for the fight and promised nothing if he won.

I was refering Hattons power to those who said he would easily stop Witter in 6-8 - which is ridicolous.

Witter has put in far better performance against Corley and Ndou than he did against the lesser Kotelnik and Lynes. This has to be put down to motivation.

Yes you can critisise Witter with the same critiscisms as I give to Hatton. BUT most on this forum herald Hatton far above Witter, I disagree and I think Witter beats him.

Apparently Castillo's fight is an elim for Witters belt,

so Hatton - Castillo could happen, eventually,

or Hatton-Witter, if (BIG IF) witter sees off castillo, he will have much more clout globally (2 defences plus arguably one of the biggest names in boxing under his belt)

Like I say, big if, but if while Castillo fights Witter, Hatton grabs another belt, (M'baye or Torres if they are still around?), all of a sudden the the Hatton-Witter fight could be for 3 of the big 4 belts, and as such a major international occasion.

The fact that Castillio's fight is a WBC eliminator is irrelevant, because he's going to be fighting Hatton next, providing they both win.

says who? doesnt Witter have a certain amount of time to fight the winner of the eliminator?

i reckon Hattonand Castillos ppl might just back off to let castillo try for the belt, there will be much more money init for all concerned wont there?

Hatton is definitely fighting Castillo next if they both win, alread arranged with HBO.

Calazage only unified once but hes cleared out countless top10 fighters, YES TOP 10 FIGHTERs. You could make the case Hattons only ever fought 2 top10 fighters (Collazo and Tyszu). Calazage has fought most of the good fighters at his weight with a few exceptions where fights were troublesome to make. Hatton has blatantly avoided many top10 fighters (Collazo 2, Witter, Mayweather, Corley, Judah, Cotto and then theres Harris, Mitchell - where its 50-50 to whos fault it was)

Calazage got stick for Bika but Bika got a draw with Beyer, he was far better P4P than either Urango or Maussa.

If Calazage was English and Hatton Welsh I think the criticism would be reversed.

Yes boxings all about titles, I'm sure you have Maussa higher than Sam Langford on your all time P4P list. My point is I dont think Bika is any better than Maussa. You obviously have an axe to grind with Hatton so you obviously will say he is.... Bika will never win a world title how about that? And if he did he'd be P4P one of the worst champions.

.......... unless he can wriggle his way out of it! I'm not at all convinced Witter is prepared to fight the best (other than Hatton!). He's only ever fought one real live oponent in his entire career and we all remember what happened there.

If forced to fight, he'll probably vacate
