Rocky would be lucky to get past the 2nd round, stylewise Rocky is made for Foreman, also Rocky is a slow starter and Foreman a fast starter... this would be very much like Foreman vs Frazier 1... and Frazier was a far better fighter than Marcinao... :box: :box: :box:

Excused me, Silkov, but, respectfully, in this topic, I thinks Rocky KO'ed George

:D

This would be a tremendous epic.

Frazier has been titeled as Black Marciano many times but I honestly believe that The Brockton Blockbuster was faster, more versatile, better chinned, more skilled, more elusive and pigger puncher.

Marciano would weather the storm early and finish George somewhere in rounds 8 to 10. The young (prime) Foreman didn't have a good stamina and was very voulnerable to infighting crisps, swinging wildly. Foreman didn't have that one punch skill.. cose he certainly had the power.. and Marciano would just hunt him down and step on him in the later rounds.

Just one Great I think Marciano could beat and look good while doing it :box:

cheers

I think people forget just how powerful Foreman was in his younger days. When he very first retired his record was 47 wins (44 kos) and 2 losses. Of those 44 kos an amazing 40 were in 5 rounds and under. When he retired in 1977 he last won a fight on points in 1970, a 39 ko winning run. Even then the last man he beat on points he later stopped in a rematch (Peralta). He destroyed world class fighters Norton and Frazier in 2 rounds.

Only two men managed to stop the granite jawed George Chuvalo, Foreman being one of them in 3 rounds. Chuvalo was of course coming off a stoppage win over Jerry Quarry. Foreman didn't cope too well with fighters that moved, Marciano wouldn't have moved anywhere.

Foreman would have had huge physical advantages over Marciano, about 5 inches in height, almost 3 stone in weight and 14 inches or so in reach. Foreman was immensly strong and easily pushed bigger men around, a 13 stone fighter like Marciano would have been no problem to him.

Marciano had a great chin but he was never punched by someone like Foreman. Foremans stamina might not have been so great but this fight wouldn't last long enough for it to be a problem.

Marciano was made for Foreman. Marciano is blown away in 3 rounds or less. If Foreman could lift a 15stone Frazier clean off his feet with an uppercut I dread to think what he would do to an even shorter and lighter Marciano !!!
