Pac has earned the right to sit closely with the great one. A couple more wins of note and he could even pass him.

All the creatine shakes & needles in Georgia couldn't keep Holyfield above Pacquiao historically. That is just obscene...ly funny

Hey, a couple posts up Miguel Angel Gonzalez is rated ahead of him.
You're underrating Evander's skill and accomplishments. But that's to be expected. And lets not hold Pac's juicing against him.

Pacquiao is just streets ahead of him at this stage, bro. Streets 8)

As much as I hate to go against the facts that are your opinions. This is one of the worst statements I've ever read.

Historically, I think GNI is right. Holyfield is great, but it is hard to argue against how great Pacman is.

No kidding, Hog. Its not even a contest at this point. We all have blindspots for certain fighters, and so it is for Saad with Holyfield.

LOL, I think he was greater than Manny by a nose. Everytime you disagree with something it has to be about love or hate. Here it's neither.

I'm not arguing anything, I answered the question in the thread. Subjective lists are only arguments when Irene gets his panties all in a bunch. I forgot to check it with him first for validation. Oh well.

Give it a rest, Saad, I have seen you react just the same way in response to a dozen lists from various members.

Fair play, I've reacted to absurd lists. This hardly qualifies. I responded light heartedly to your laughter. How long do you need this to go on?
What I don't do is accuse you of man love or hate every time we disagree. Feel free to give that a rest.

Saad, Pacquao is the only fighter in history to win 4 lineal titles in 4 weight classes. He's beaten at least 4 future HOFers (Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya . . and Cotto might get there someday). He's beaten top fighters from 112 to 147 lbs.
Holyfield won lineal titles in 2 weight classses (and let's be real, the cruiser division in the 80s beyond Qawi was a wasteland . . ). He's also beaten 4 HOFers (Foreman, Holmes, Tyson and Qawi) but 2 of them were in their 40s making comebacks. He had a great career at HW up to 1999.

I'm aware of their resumes. Pac's Flyweight resume isn't much of a feather in his cap for me. The two Heavyweights in their 40's were in much better shape than Oscar was and you list him without any degradation.
Manny is great, I feel Holyfield is slightly greater. Cruiser wasn't a world beater division, but the first Qawi win was as impressive as any in history. In it's context and the time in his career when it took place I would take that over anything Pac has done. With the possible exception of stopping Erik Morales. Who was past his best, but still great.

In my opinion its out of:
Floyd Mayweather JR & Bernard Hopkins
Tough choice between the 2, as far as pure boxing skills, i'd give a slight nod towards Floyd, but in terms of accomplishments, Hopkins.

I like your style, Saad. You stick to your guns and youre not afraid to come across as a pudendum to the fainter types. I just think you should have your head examined for this particular ranking, is all

That's fine, I know it isn't popular with Manny being the rave these days. I can promise you beating another no hoper in old man Mosley wont change it.

OK, well I'll just leave it that I STRONGLY disagree that Evander beating Qawi at 190 (and Qawi's peak was 4 years earlier at 175) matches any win in Manny's resume. In fact, I'd rank it below his wins over Marquez, Morales (1st), Barrera (1st), or Cotto. Qawi is made to look better than he was at 190 considering the drama and high action of that fight. Qawi would've lost to a wide range of guys weighing 185-190 that night.

He wouldn't have lost to a wide range of guys that were in their 12th fight and had never been past 8 rounds.
Cotto was a better win than Qawi? That's pushing the envelope. MAB 1 & Morales 2 are arguable. He doesn't have wins over Marquez, he has one hotly disputed one. But that is another great result. No better than beating Bowe or Tyson, but great all the same.
Like I said, I'm not arguing it. I think a case can be made for Pac, Floyd, Holyfield & Hopkins in the top spot.
I STRONGLY disagree that counting lineal titles up is the end all. Joe Louis had one and I'd rate him over either of them. Evander fought in two divisions and he was the undisputed champion in both of them. You can't ask for anymore than that.

Cotto being above or equal to a Qawi at cruiser who would go on to lose to an old Jaws Ocasio and whose best W above 175 was beating up on poor cracked out Leon Spinks . . .yes.
In my book Pacquao beat JMA twice, not just once, and even razor-thin victories over a peak Marquez are better than post-prison Tyson or Bowe (and Evander's one win over Riddick was just as close/controversial, so give that one a rest). Really, in a who was the greater/better fighter list, you'll rank Riddick Bowe over Juan Manual Marquez?

Marquez has had the more accomplished career. That doesn't mean everything when you're talking about specific fights. You think Bowe was garbage, I think he was one of the more talented Heavyweights in history. We always argue about that, do we need to do it again?
Do I think giving up 30 or 40 pounds to Riddick Bowe is more impressive than beating and drawing with a Marquez that is smaller than you? Absolutely, without thinking twice.
I had Marquez winning the first fight & Pac edging the second. Either way, they were great fights. I'd rate the Hatton win over Cotto. And Evander's win over Dokes fits in with those.
