I was with Jamie Moore last night and he still doesnt know who he is fighting

my mate just finished sparring jamie

why is it such a big deal for fighters to fight outside their country before 'title' level? I reckon we have better judges than vegas or germany, if he dont want to come here then eff him, but if Moore did not fancy it in USA he would have 'ducked' Powell, you mark my words.

As for Moore dipping his toe, has Powell ever fought outside the US? if not then its exactly the same for him. bloody 'comfort zone' boxers.

as i have said before, when you have your tenth and twentieth fight, you should have to fight someone with the same record or similar, so 10-0 fights 10-0 or 11-1 or something. That would show how padded your record was.....

as for international fights, if we had more of those maybe people would not be saying 'no-name brit', if we had more fights 'outside' the domestic scene, it would help both sets of fans understand the other scenes.

This could prove to be a real banana skin for Moore.

Can see your point, but America is where the money talks - so I guess it shows a lack of ambition by not going over there (e.g. would rather be the big fish in the small pond than get a beating by the big fish). So the Americans have an excuse, whats the point of going to the UK fighting a non-name Brit when they can make much more $$$ fighting in the states.

I'm not meaning my view as anything against the two boxers, Moore has shown his heart and ambition on countless occasions in the ring and Sechew Powell has fought in geniune world class, although lost, at least had the balls to risk an undefeated record and probable title shot before hand.

Wasn't it Lujan who fought Margarito and got his ear sliced to pieces? He was game but outclassed against Dzindziruk who is genuine world class anyway IMO Not the worst fight i suppose but Powell would have been better.

Team moore have told team powell they'll fight him in the US next if powell is up for it, they've also offered to fight sergio martinez here, there or anywhere - they await his response!
