Carlton Draught thanks

Used to drink the old VB but it seemed to give me worse hangovers than other beers so gave it up. It was either that or drink less :o

Anyone remember the boutique beer explosion of the early 90's? Some of the beers in those places were the VB of whatever country they were imported from. Yet here we were sipping it from posh glasses and paying through the nose for it :-?

I'm not a fan of VB (as most New drinkers will tell you and vise versa not many VB drinkers like New), to tell you the truth I think VB is puss!

Corona is not beer!

Platinum is good stuff :TU:

Draught isn't too bad

Beer is awful stuff as far as I'm concerned, but had to drink Super dry's out of necessity one night and found that they weren't that bad. Those, Carlton Draught and Corona's (sorry guys) are about the only beers I'll touch and that's only in the absence of an alternative.

I'm a big time spirits man with Jack Daniels usually the beverage of choice with Canadian Club, Chartreuse and any number of girly drinks usually following later in the night.

I'm of the opinion that one day we'll pay dearly for the Iraq thing and most will wonder wtf happened and why

We're losing our identity, our sense of fairness and the level of common decency that we were once renowned for
"
, forgetting that Australia of late has been the invader.
We were no way involved and not a target in any way in this war on terror bull shit, however thanks to Johnnys love for GWB and blind following of what ever GWB tells JH to do we are now a big target and when it happens I believe JH shoudl be held 100% responsible."

Ross
now ya see ya got me mad. Ofcourse Australia was already a target. Bali bombings was before the war on terror, try telling the relatives of those good people that we were not already targetted, anyway. your entitled to your opinion.

Everyone has an opinion, but Bali was after the "war of Terror". My heart goes out to the friends and family, and as an Australian it efected all of us even if you didn't know anyone involved.

Anzac day is here boys and girls. A huge day.........commemorations all around the country for the diggers and rightly so. If it wasn't for those old boys we'd be living under totally different circumstances. Here in Melbourne it's a beautiful day outside and the now traditional anzac day Collingwood V Essendon game starts in about 30 minutes. A monster of a football day centred around just one match although the significance goes way beyond football :box: :TU:

Even though I was pulling for England in the last RU WC, I have to admit I've liked the average Australian I've met more than the average English person. Why ? Healthier attitudes regarding freedom and liberty, and rugged individualism. Guess that's what comes from living space. At the same time though when Australia is playing NZ, I'll call it "Convicts v Sheepshaggers".

That's what popped into my head when looking at the thread title today. Irwin projected a ridiculously stereotypical view of Australians to the rest of the world. Besides, I reckon he wasn't too much of a conservationist. I reckon it was all about the $$$
