no anti post means prices before the race, the race is actually in May, not sure of the day, but its a saturday, or sunday. the 1000 and 2000 guines run saturday and sunday at Newmarket.

you can bet the horse now, but if the horse is pulled out you lose youre money with some bookmakers. on the day of the race the horse will be around 3/1 (actually ive just checked williamhill.com and the horse as shortened to 10/1)

you take a chance betting anti post, you can get 10/1 now or wait until the day of the race and get around 3/1 or less.

you pays youre money and takes a chance.

by the way Joes Edge 16/1 for the Grand National has run and won at this distance

Just stuck £50 on Enzo round one, and £10 on round two.... 11/2 both rounds

So i either

1) win 275
2) win 55
3) lose 60

this is my biggest bet ever Enzo, dont let me down hahahaha

Looks very tempting. Might have to throw a £10 on a Maccarinelli 1st round KO.

My biggest bet was a tenner on Danny Williams to slay Mike Tyson. Won about £80.

i've had a few winners:

£1800 on Klitschko to beat sam peter at 13/8
£200 on Khan to beat martinov in round one at 10/1
£9000 on Scott Harrison to beat brodie in running after 3 rounds at 1/3
£2000 on Hopkins to beat eastman on points at 10/11

Plus many many others... :TU:

and for what it's worth, I'm expecting a really spirited effort from Gunn at the weekend. Khan will stop Bull, Calzaghe will stop Manfredo in the second half of the fight, Maccarinelli is a huge favourite versus Gunn but at the odds there's no way that I could back him. Gunn will be tough and game, aledgedly has a dig on him himself, so who knows!

yeah I had Wlad over Peter, but nearly had a heart attack watching it. Plus Williams over Tyson as well. And Eubank over Benn first time around - Nigel was a big favorite, but I knew Eubank had a good chin, as I'd seem him stand up to Anthony Logan, who had floored Benn previously.

I've just gone for Enzo in rounds 1 & 2. Yeah of course Gunn has an outside puncher's chance with the fragile Enzo chin, but he'll have trouble even reaching it..and just look at the guy's record: he's fought absolutely NO-ONE.

And I've gone for Joe on points.

Think Enzo has to make it look as if it isnt too much of a mismatch otherwise FW will be accused of finding him a joker to fight - Rnds 4 or 5 I think, then a big KO - Yes, Enzo could drop him in rnd one but I rather doubt it will happen that way - Certainly wont go beyond six.

That's why I won't be putting any money on a round 1 or 2 KO, I'd have thought Enzo will be instructed to 'feel him out' for a few rounds and then take him out.

I won't be surprised if Calzaghe goes the distance yet again. His hands have taken such a battering over the years that I'm not sure how much power he is able to put into his shots now.

oh god this is what im terrified about. I'm hoping that all of the fights before enzos go the distance, so frank may tell enzo to finish it early to save time/boost the crowd for the main event.

but.. a couple of years ago didnt enzo blast out that south african stiff, and some other stiff in the next fight in a round? should saturday nigth be any different? :-? this guy gunn is his worst opponent for years, no?

what are the chances of Gunn starting fast and therefore getting KO'd quicktime? he must know enzo's chin is vulnerable.

i didnt wanna spend anymore cash ;-)

I dont think Gunn will be try box clever, i dont think he knows how too... he is a "tough guy", he will come out to KO Enzo i guess... and that will leave him open...

I put down $300 on Zab to win by KO/TKO/DQ in the 2nd fight with Spinks (3-1). I put down $400 on the Thompson/Guinn over 11.5 (-295). I made a few other plays like that, but I mostly stick to the $20 - $100 range...... :TU:

I dropped about 5500.00 on Lacy for the Zags fight ...my biggest loss ever. I knew after the 2nd rd I had NO chance and kissed the money goodbye. I also lost a bundle on a Tyson ko prop over the Irishman and a bundle on Kid Diamond over Nate Campbell. Despite those big losses I've had more than my share of good wins including a 1k bet on Spinks over mayo at +400, I had over 2k on Dawson over Adamek @ better than +200. I also had good money on MAB over Hamed, Pac over MAB by ko, and Hop over Tito.

I'm not so sure - brutal 1st round KOs make good TV viewers... I mean remember all those watching in the arena and TV won't all be knowledgeable boxing purists, and if Enzo flattens him in under a minute - all these fans will be thinking 'wow'.....

Most won't realise how bad Gunn is.

You certainly made good picks on the 1s you won I would never have seen MAB taking Hamed or Pac taking MAB. I picked Calazage over Lacy.

Not a betting man myself, have no idea what +400 is - is that put on £100 get £140 if you win or put on £100 get £400?

+400 would return a 400.00 profit on a 100.00 wager plus the 100.00
