yeah i thought you'd try something twisted like that. You got no answer except to reply with a question of your own.ringsider wrote:So that is the best you have? Why didn't Norris fight him years earlier? I guess because Norris was a coward too?his fight with Norris, a man whose rspect he couldn't get within the first two rounds and as a result, fell apart quickly. You could see all his confidence leave him . Once he got slapped won by the terrible one, he felt his guts turn to jelly and the match evolved into a one sided mismatch.![]()
Norris didn't belong in the same ring with Leonard, let alone spoken in the same breathe when they were in their respective primes.
You didn't even acknowledge anything I said in my last post because you don't know how and that just proves me right.
and you didn't dare address the fact that Ray Leonard didn't want no part of a rematch with Hearns while Ray was still active and in his prime.
Is it any wonder that he NEVER was fond of giving rematches??
Ray leonard ducked the best fighter (hagler) out there when it mattered but you're talking about him like he was up there with Ali and Robinson.
As if he were the best of his decade-Mr. Retire/unretire-get to pick my opponents whenever I want-deny you a rematch-fight at the weight I dictate even though you're the champion-Ray Leonard.
you know i can't agree with anything you say. Talking about primes which you supposedly know about---but don't.
I've been watching the sport since Ali left the sport in 79 and I've seen them all. Ali was great. Hagler was great. Roy Jones another of the great ones.
Ray Leonard was just a farce except to the untrained eye like yours.
Who else do you know who sat out his best years due to intense competition? Don't lie. Just tell the truth.
Ray leonard climbing in the ring with a Kevin Howard. Shit! It should have been Hearns but the chicken just quit the sport when he had no reason to.
Who else do you know that sat out his best years boy? Or fights old men as often as leonard did throughout the late 80's?
There is no other! That's why he doesn't get respect.
and once he gets in the ring with the first youthful fighter, he looks every bit as incompetent as he looked in his first go-around with Hearns and even worse.
then the typical crybaby response from his fans is "Norris didn't belong in the same ring with Leonard during their respective primes". You people don't know shit period.
I say, "oh yeah? Prove it!"
Once again, you can't. Your man just caved in because he couldn't deal with anyone that wasn't walking without a cane.
