at a shortened 12-round distance at Leonard's insistence

with huge 10-ounce gloves at Leonard's insistence

"Referee" Richard Steal warned Leonard over 30 times for holding without ever taking a point away from him.

Leonard punched after the bell in 5 out of the 12 rounds (6-7 punches after the bell ending the 11th round) while "referee" Richard Steal stood by and smiled.

Swallow your pablum handed to you by Bert Sugar, Howard Cosell, Larry Merchant, etc. and regurgitate it back out, children.

This so-called fight was not a fight by legitimate conditions and standards of boxing.

Oh no....dingle berry is blathering on again, about all the things Hagler's camp agreed too.

Your hysterical post above looks like blathering to me.

Both Hagler and your Leonard were far below the level of the best fighters in the history of boxing.

Their "fight" was a farce,

fit only for Bert Sugar, Howard Cosell, and Larry Merchant to peddle as supposedly legitimate boxing.

Like I said. This fight should have been in 1982 or 1983 when BOTH were in their complete primes.

Leonard would have run away even faster and grabbed and held even more.

As long as "referee" Richard Steal was in his "prime,"

it wouldn't matter when the fight would have taken place.

The result would have been the same as long as Leonard wasn't carried out of the ring on a stretcher.

All Leonard had to do was last to the end to be declared the "winner."

Much like the Harold Johnson-Willie Pastrano fight,

The fight was over 12 rounds because only the WBC sanctioned it.

Regardless of whether Hagler was past his best or not it was still an achievement for a 3 years out of the ring Leonard making his debut at Middleweight to even run him close, whatever anybody's opinion of the split decision.

And anybody who doesn't think Hagler could box is clearly an idiot.

I dont't think Hagler nor Leonard were over rated I think both were fantastic talents.

I scored this fight for Leonard.

Just how I saw it.
