Moore handles Lujan EASILY... won every round (ref: 119-110)

Lujan was spoiling just trying to survive. Well Done Moore.

Havent seen the fight yet but sounds like moore did a v.professional job. I'd say a fight with verno phillips in some sort of eliminator would be a great fight for moore against a fairly big name, highly ranked opponent who at the same time is highly beatable - reckon moore could stop him l8.

Well done Jamie. Once again proved the 'intelligent fghter' label. Looked as though you had so much more in reserve.

Lets hope this is a good year!

I havent seen Moore's fight yet, as i was at a show in Rugby, but its a very solid win.

That Mark Thompson is for real; he stopped Manoo Salari in one.

Tom Podmore.

Did look like Lujan was just here for the payday though, no ambition, he threw alot of slapping punches, and just looked to survive, thing is he's usually had a good chin, and it didn't look like Moore was hurting him to much. So i can't understand his performance. I was expecting alot more from a guy who's only 27 and still world ranked.

Verno Phillips would be a good next opponent, and he'd bring alot more ambition to the table, he's fought all over the world, coming to England wouldn't bother him, he's fought over here before beating Rosi.

Also we still don't have a flyweight champion of Britain after Robinson and Edwards drew last night, cracking fight. There's got to be a 3rd match.

Get Moore top opponent for a fight July or end of June would be good.

Not Moore's fault but what a dull fight - the Argie acted like he was a circus clown. Turned over after three rounds.

Tough division to be in - two superstars and a very tough WBO champ as well.

Jesus that was shocking effort from Lujan. I lean towards Stu's take on the "updates" thread, it looked like he was carrying some kind of injury. Otherwise I just can't think why a younger man who's mixed at a higher level would be so unwilling to make a fight of it. Lujan was just apathetic in the extreme, and only three of four little 20 second bursts of punches in twelve rounds, against a fighter who is only proven domestically, is bordering on disgrace for someone who could be called a fringe world level fighter.

That's not to take anything at all away from Moore, who produced an almost perfect example of how to deal with such a negative opponent, and I'm glad that he for once had an easy night, but how much better would it have looked if Lujan had come to fight and Moore had still got the better of him?

Despite liking Moore I don't see how he can compete at world level. Lets look at the top10 (well my top 10) I can't see him winning a round against any of them:

1. Mayweather/DLH winner WBC
2. SPinks IBF
3. Simms WBA
4. Dzinderuk WBO
5 Ouma.
6. Forrest
7 Quartey
8. Mayorga
9. Vargas
10. Martinez

I suppose he may stand a chance against fringe guys like Philips or Powell. But his best shot muct be Picciliro for the European Championship. If he wins that he cna at least say hes been a European champion

Martinez next would be good.

Sergio Martinez, definitely that's a good idea. He's been over here at least twice. I still think Moore should fight Piccolo. He should try and get a WBO shot at Dzinziruk. Moore is on good form but he'd lose that one.

I think thats a little unkind to moore...I think Spinks is overrated and alhough you'd expect him to outbox Moore if a blown up LW Judah can ko Spinks, I'd give a fully fledged light-middle like moore a chance. Vargas is no longer the force he once was and as for Quartey - did you see the Phillips-Quartey fight? Quartey was badly hurt in that one and if Phillips came close to beating Ike and Moore could beat Phillips - well you catch ma drift. Also both Mayweather and Oscar look like retiring pretty soon which leaves a bit of a gap.BUt I agree its a tough division and Moore would do well to be just competitive with most of the top guys.

I would rate Moore as a similar level to someone like Scott Dann. Best in the country at his weight, certainly good enough to win the EBU belt but probably won't get a shot at one of the big three.

Moore seems a nice guy but he's not world class, simple as that... he may pick up a WBU or WBO title but as for a genuine title forget it... as for yesterdays 'fight' it proved absolutely nothing ragarding Moore being world class or not...

I don't think Verno Phillips would be a good idea - that guy can still fight and I don't know how much he would help Moore move up in any rankings, assuming Moore could beat him.

I think another Argie - Mamani - makes the most sense. He is ranked above Moore in the WBC, appears to bring more excitement than Lujan, and lost badly in a WBA eliminator against Joachim Alcine. I'd also like to see Attila Kovacs get a Moore fight to see if he's any good, but he's completely unrated. The IBO title is, sadly, a road to absolutely nowhere.

Regarding Spinks KO loss to Judah, Judah has P4P power and whats more important has the skill and speed to land it. Mayorga and Kazamin couldn't get there shots off on Spinks and surely hit far harder than Moore

As for Quarey getting kd'ed twice by Phillips, I saw that live, suprising BUT Phillips can really bang and Quartey survived it. In his last 2 hes look very impressive

Moore is the best of British, he'll get hurt fighting the worlds top10 though. He could win the European title, which would be some achievement.

Moore should go for the Euro title and according to how he does take it from there... but I think even winning the Euro belt would be tough but certainly possible for Jamie and more realistic than him going after one of the top champs yet... also the Euro belt is worth much more than WBU/IBO shite 'titles'.

Karmazin fought very well over the 2nd half with Spinks. Got his measure and for me won all the late rounds. The guy is too patient for his own good hence losing razor thin in Spinks's backyard.

Moore doesn't look world class. He has a decent enough game but little that will distinguish him at a higher level apart from his toughness. MAYBE he can keep doing what he did to Lujan, maybe he proves us wrong but I can see him getting battered by Dzinziruk's jab.

I actually don't think that this list is as tough as it first appears. That's not to say that I'd make Moore favourite for any of the potential fights.

Strike the top three though; Moore won't get a match against one of them if he lives to be four hundred.

Quartey and Forrest are both old men, and clearly not the absolutely world class operators they were several years ago. Their comebacks have not been all that impressive (especially in the case of Forrest) and it seems to me that both will not be around for that much longer.

Mayorga is vastly overrated, and he too has seen better days. His power would trouble Moore I think, but there'd be little trouble in hitting Mayorga in return.

Vargas is very, very close to being finished, and I reckon he will be after his match up with Mayorga. He's badly faded.

Simms, Dzinderuk, Ouma, and Martinez are the fighters to avoid on that list. They are the freshest and the hungriest, and unfortunately probably the easiest for Moore to get a shot at. I agree that (if it can be made) a match with Piccirillo would be ideal. It's very winnable, is a decent marker for how much higher up Moore can go, and would give a decent boost to his world ranking.

i think Moore has a lot in reserve, which will come out when he faces higher calibre opponents
