I think Jeremy Williams had a Judo black belt and used that against lewis, however I thought lewis came accross well one of his partners disloged a retaner in the camp and lewis payed for the medical bills which is a lot in the US.

Is the one about sprott and greenburg true I have heard it a few times.

Oh and also on this thread is spads still in prison?

Also the rumours he had pro-fights behind closed doors
He got rocked bad before the Hagler fight.... Hence changing the tactics and boxing instead of standing with Hagler(as was the original plan)

The "fights behind closed doors" were spars with 8oz competition gloves and no headguards. Obviously no referee/judges or medical so not really fights as such

Dropping and dropping. As a freak incident he bent a couple oif ribs that were still bothering Kessler when he fought Beyer.

However, I don't think anyone in their right mind would think Tatseyan would last 2 rounds with Kessler - no matter if Kessler had to fight with bent ribs or not.

Mark Thompson wobbled Witter up in Salford during their sparring. In the return session in Sheffield Witters legs went completley and he held onto Mark following another solid shot.

Lewis looked after old pal and ex olympic team mate Egerton Marcus for many years after his career was ended by eye trouble - he employed him as a helper/spar mate in camp and paid him well.

Wayne Alexander getting knocked down by everyone he spars with. Certainly Takaloo likes to tell everyone he put Wayne down. Anthony Small is another who gave him a going over in the gym.

In a recent interview Wayne admitted to the spar with Small not going his way, but Wayne also said he was never in shape for it. And i don't think Takaloo can go around saying he decked Wayne in a spar, as everyone will point out what happened in the real fight.

He could have been winning 11 rounds out of 12 to be fair - with that sort of ending people will only ever remember the KO!

As in Bomber Graham's challenge to Julian Jackson, Herol was boxing the champion's head off and was closing in on an injury stoppage himself before being banged out. Its the KO shot that lives on in most memories though..

True - the spars are meaningless as it's what happens on the night that counts. And Wayne certainly made it count!!!

Can't find that KO anywhere. Is it on the net at all?
