The thing I find strange is that all Murray has done, and is guilty of, is to answer a call which Amir has made, ie. to stand up and fight him.

Murray has responded saying 'OK, I'll do it and I've already for a date and venue arranged, on a big card too!'

Since then his response has been met with derision by Amir and his camp, for some unknown reason. I mean, see boxingchat's response above. Murray has been berated because he'll be a 'curtain opener' on one of the biggest shows in the States for ages (I mean, how can Murray demean himself like this........), has had his skill disrespected by Khan himself and is having Khan's money waved in his face by boxingchat (I wonder if Warren himself has similar views).

In the end, who is being made to look the fool? As I said in my post above, ask Audley who, strangely enough, Warren used to berate for putting money and celebrity first. For Amir's sake I hope the similarities end there, but I wouldn't count on it.

The proposed Murray vs Khan fight in Las Vegas was mentioned in Frank's NOTW column - in which we finally got to learn what the exclusive contract means.

Franks says clearly that ITV cannot show Hatton vs Castillo cause they have an exclusive contract with Warren. So any hope of some big US fights being shown on the Network are dashed for the moment.

Khan needs to put up or shut up, IMO

The hype is just that regarding Khan, no hot prospect between lightweight and lt-welter would be anything but eager to get in with Khan..he has shown none of his early promise...his punch looks even more suspect than his chin

I read an article recently were the writer wrote that the Mexican and American prospects would be begging to get at Khan...and you can believe that can`t you

My point was the Promoter of this show (Not John Murray) is hardly going to pay Amir Khan the sort of purses he is receivng (Hence the nice cars) to fight John Murray (Whom he is putting on as a favour to MH and Sky) on an undercard fight in front of a handful of punters with no extra TV cash being received (Straight business sense) . ITV are hardly going to want Khan on Sky when they have invested heavily in him are they?

Also, the show is sold out so why have the vast extra expense for no return and no onward interest in either fighter?

This is good sense.

All that needs to happen then is for Murray (with Mick H's consent) to agree to appear on ITV as Khan's next opponent, yes?

Hmm, can we see that happening. Not without the signing of options I can't.

We both know that Murray knows there is zero chance of Khan appearing on that bill, of course not. It's just a chance for Hennessy to try and show off and make Sports Network look small and petty. Nothing wrong with that, it's what boxing promoters seem to do on a regular basis.

However, who knows, down the line, maybe this fight WILL happen as a result of all the sabre rattling from both sides. Let's hope so.
