Right. My mate hasn't been for a few years, must let him know.

He told me a funny story once. There was a story once in the Yorkshire Post or something like that, about some town, think it might have been Bolton, can't really remember, which apparently had the highest Aids rate in the country. Apparently some enterprising young feller organised a coach trip there from Doncaster, on the premise that there must be loads of poontang going around!

You had to laugh. Optimistic lot in Donny by the sounds of it.

My city, Aberdeen, slipped in at 9... Though with two large Universities and a college - it'll be the students making that number up...

Students infest up here!

I've heard of Doncaster rep andit's prob well deserved!
Swansea has the same prob with the bars crammed 2gether, 26 big pubs in one street and all double busy on a Sat night.
Great town for stag do's etc, full of women 2, no need for a red light district in Swansea, everyone gets it 4 free!
Weds night is a real student night, Varsity, Revolution and Play will be jammed, Walkabout will be busy for the footie as well.
No point avoiding anywhere, students ideas of a fight is a bit of lively debate!
Best place to avoid the students esp later on is Jax or Flares

Dunno about him, I can't stand the place! Scousers seem to take the scouse/manc rivallry thing a lot further than we do. I've had a couple of good kickings on nights out there for no good reason at all, apart from where I'm from. Once by a taxi driver who took me and a girlfreind (who lived in Kensington and knew the area very well) the extremely scenic route from Kensington to Lime street... when she pointed this out to him, he ordered us out of the taxi, got out himself and planted one on me! The other time, I was at the bar in a quiet pub, the barman asked me where I was from, then he had a chat with some of his mates at the bar who followed us outside later and attacked me and my mate for nothing. That's two visits out of a total of about 6 in 37 years!

To be honest i'm a little surprised to see Belfast at No. 1 although it is probably including the outer estates than just the city centre itself.

it was a barman, not a bouncer and it seemed really innocuous when he asked where I was from. Both incidences were about 15 years back, but enough to put me off for a long time. I was last in Liverpool about a year back, nothing happened, no one hit me! Still feels like it has a lot more (pointless) aggression and attitude about the place than most other places I've lived or visited though, and scousers I've met here or other places always seem on the wind up, or like a hair-trigger about to go off at someone. Must be something in the water...

Fifteen years ago, I can understand. But nowadys, its a different place. Capital of culture, don't you know. :)

Anyone been out on the lash in Swansea? That's a pretty underrated boozing town.

I run a couple of doors in Swansea, so consider me the fount of all knowledge there!
Pubs/clubs all very close together, all full up, cheap beer, women tarted right up and easy 2 pull, u do get a bit of trouble but there is no knife or gun culture there.
I've been to a lot of places in Britain and around the world, and while Swansea is quite primitive it is the best place i've seen for women.
Cardiff does not have enough hotels etc for when the big events come to the millenium stadium so Swansea always gets the overflow, the people who end up in Swansea like that always come back.

The city center isn't too bad, something for everyone there.

One word of advice though, steer clear of the Grafton, and Peppers in Walton. Its the only place i've seen 50 year old women thrown out for fighting at five in the morning!

What you don't mention is that they were fighting over you!

If youse like bars where they stop talking when you walk in, nightly fights with travellers, then a nightclub full of idiots who WILL try and start a row, then I suggest we all do a rainham to romford pub crawl soon....

I love where i live and it isnt as bad as some places mentioned, but a lot of people raise there eyebrows when you say you live in rainham...

Doncasters not that bad, been from Rotherham its only 10 minutes up the M18 and im there, dont think its rough at all, been to a lot worse places. By the way Saturday night in Donny my god the women are fantastic
