Yeah and I'm sure that REALLY won over the Mexican fans.

Ricky shouldn't be concerned with his type of ring entrance, who accompanies him into the ring etc. Castillo is a tough, tough fighter, albeit one that has been in some epic battles.
Hatton should be concerning himself with Castillo & nothing else. I bet Castillo is not thinking about what he's going to wear when he comes intop the ring, who's walking with him.
By all acounts, Castillo has been training real hard & the fact that his weight was 147lbs with a month to go until fight time, suggests as much.

does anyone else see a parralell between this and Naz's prep before Barrera...
Big entourage, Nickname change, I agree with Balboa..if he aint prepared for Castiilo, Castillo will execute him, no ifs, no buts..
I have defended the Collazo and Urango performances, im sure some on here think im a 'nuthugger' BUT if Ricky fights to that level on the 23rd hes gonna get battered and as a fan of Ricky from the word go I dont want to see that..
This is Rickys date with destiny, I hope hes not late or he may just arrive in time to find destiny has left the building leaving him with jut a bill to pay!!

I'm sure that the Man City faithful will understand as the Arsenal boy's would if it were a Spurs Player.
The whole thing is becoming very sad and desparate. Still it is an IBO title fight after all and being on Setanta no one will see it anyway!
The WBC think it's for their International title and the IBO think it's for their 'World' title...all a bit odd to me.
No self respecting Spurs player would commit such an atrocious act
I wonder how many new subscribers setanta are getting on the back of just this one fight?
I know quite a few that have signed up,in fact they have even asked especially for the "Ricky Hatton package"....
Still(EASILY)Britains most popular fighter
The IBO may be pretty shit, but I'am sure it's forthcoming light welterweight title fight will surpass the last WBO cruiserweight and super middleweight double header which I had the misfortune to watch

If ITV weren't pissed off, why was Warren on the defensive? i.e. if it hadn't been stopped so early, more viewers would have tuned in to the Manfredo bout. We know they were upset about not getting the target audience and the contract is soon up. One of Warren's columns suggested that ITV weren't willing to pay enough to RENEW...what does this suggest...
Come on, it was the farce of all farces, A DISGUSTING BLACK EYE FOR THE SPORT, reflected in the relatively poor TV audience. Someone has to answer for it. And it has happened before...Why did Warren go off on one at one of the Welsh sports writers? Why all the sudden talk of GOOD FIGHTS? Why all the talk of the Beeb and Setanta bidding for his services...
I believe we are in a new era. As in America where the focus will be on making the top fights and not giving promoters and fighters carte blanche. Sky have upped their quality domestically (2006) and internationally. Setanta have picked up Cotto-Judah ffs...It'll soon be about delivering the fights. Who wants to see star names in flop fights? No wonder the audience dwindled. After all, how do you know Calzaghe is Mr Legend if he has a shit fight with Bika??
What talk of BBC and Sentanta bidding for his services?
I agree It was a farce, but little negative press about ITV not happy with the viewing figures doesn't suggest they he won't renew with ITV.
What column suggest ITV wern't going to pay enough money to renew the contract.
America like Warren only make the big fights when the promoter has signed both fighters normally like most of Golden Boys fights.
Bika was an ugly and underrated win, not Calzaghe's fault Bika wanted to fight dirty and just survive. You were convinced Bika was a good fighter after watching him fight Beyer too. What was your point? Just to moan more?
