Shame really, as Anthony is a lovely fella, and Spencer too. However he has of late started to lose the cheeky smile & the happy-go-lucky way about him which makes him so approachable. Spencer too.
I agree.Ive known Anthony a long time. He is a nice fella.Shirow wrote:SRCJJ wrote:
This individual has almost been banned from the gym for preaching and trying to convert vulnerable youngsters.
Small has taken to wearing full muslim robes and headgear and has been heard to express some very intolerant beliefs as well as going to some very questionable 'meetings'.
He is also a total bully in the gym, bashing the sh1t out of guys who've not even had an amateur fight.
Fearon is not a convert as far as I know, he is more doing it to get close to Small and Williams.
Which gym was it that almost banned him? I did't know he trained anyway regularly than Cityboxer which isn't open to youngsters vunerable or otherwise. Also he has never bashed any of the guys he's sparred with. That would never be allowed. Two of the best boxers in the gym did try to turn the heat up on him in sparring and he wobbled them with single shots and didn't follow up. That's the closest i can think to what you're referring to.
Anyway about the ringwalk music. Since when does it have to have something to do with boxing? Was the boxing connection with Pryce's music? If this is the case Hatton is totally confused.
If you've got something to say mate you don't have to create a new username to say it...SRCJJ wrote:Small is not the sharpest tool in the box and he has been influenced by a fanatical convert who in turn converted him with one sided propaganda and pamphlets.

Maybe he saw more discilpine in the muslim way that the way he was living?
All I know is he does not take liberties in the gym and he has talent, but it needs nurturing.
he has a good jab, he needs to use it more, and he needs to stay off the ropes
Fair enough mate, take your word for it if you were there. Just a story i heardShirow wrote:Well it's hard to comment about nameless gyms & information from nameless people but i was there when Anthony was sparring Wayne and that didn't happen.
Anthony was dancing around making Wayne miss & look a bit silly and Wayne was loading up single shots to try and level things up Wayne landed one big hook which was much harder than the many shots he took.
To my eye Anthony only seemed to feel sorry for himself when the ref stopped it and not when he was getting thumped by Pryce.
Anyway, enough. I'll leave you to it
Muslim prayers are not anti any race. To suggest so, is imbecilic.Wales wrote:So if a fighter was a white supremasist people on here would condone him for coming to the ring with anti black music playing?
I think Oliver really sums it up, until we know what the music was it is pointless debating it.oliverfennell wrote:Unless somebody here can translate Arabic or knows the piece in question, I think it's a pretty irresponsible/ignorant assumption to make that just because it was Muslim music, it was anti-white music.
If it WAS, then fair enough, but I very much doubt that.
YEs does anyone here understand arabic? I guess that would be the only way. One thing though is that in thsi political climate it may not have been the smartest PR move....dopey wrote:I think Oliver really sums it up, until we know what the music was it is pointless debating it.oliverfennell wrote:Unless somebody here can translate Arabic or knows the piece in question, I think it's a pretty irresponsible/ignorant assumption to make that just because it was Muslim music, it was anti-white music.

The only thing I can add is Small has the right to play whatever he chooses but he's got to have a thought to the crowd, he came on late and by that time there was the boozed up morons pissed out of their heads taking offense to it, had it been prime time it may have stirred the crowd up and with a multi-racial crowd it may have resulted in a few disagreements.
Did anyone hear the moron shouting abuse at Skelton then screaming at Joe C to knock the German C_unt Chrysler out in his next fight. Priceless!
Sorry, I wasn't actually referring to you. I just meant the assumption in the first place.Wales wrote:Sorry, but when did I say Smalls music was anti white? I wouldnt allow any music at all.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:All of this 'a boxer can come out to whatever music he likes' is irresponsible nonsense.
Look where that can end up.
Billy Bessey came out to Culture Club's 'Do you really want to hurt me?' for goodness sakes!![]()

Do you think that Rangers should walk out to something like 'The Sash' during an Old Firm game?oliverfennell wrote:Nobody complains when Evander Holyfield comes out to Christian music.
Yes, I know America is officially a Christian country, but my point is people have a knee-jerk reaction to anything Muslim. If somebody can use Christian music as his ring entrance, why can't another use Muslim music, especially in an extremely multicultural city such as London.
