It is him. Mark Burdis, brother of actor Ray Burdis.

Warren met him on the BBC spoof Operation Good Guys about 7 years ago.

It was about unlicenced boxing and was hilairious.

Mark dresssed up as Don King, and was great.

Warren was good too

mark did a good job for his first big show. live on itv1 with no previous experience......of course the guy is going to be nervous. he will get better though.

pass on the other hand is a moron. he looks like something from a kids tv show with his stuck on hair.

apparently he has set up a fan club for himself!!!

You should also know him as the bloke who lived upstairs in Three Up Two Down, the 80's sitcom which pitted Michael Elphick as Grandad living in the basement with toffy nosed mother-in-law of his son, Burdis.

From memory, Elphick was a budding taxidermist (Sp) and Burdis was hitched up with the fit bird who went off to America, and recently re-appeared here in some detective thingy.

Forgotten her name.

I'm about to go to the Board for my MCs licence. I would've loved to have done the Cardiff show but instead do the odd Real Fight Club show when Goodhall isn't about. The guy on Saturday was pretty good.

Don't agree about getting better, time will make your performance more polished but I reckon you've either got the voice for it or not, and i don't think Mark has. No disrespect, most MC's probably couldn't act and Mark can.

As I've said before, I'm not a great lover of Pass's style but he was head & shoulders above what we saw on Saturday. I reckon that, being a Bolton lad, he'll be having a word with Amir to smooth things over with Warren. He has done all Amir's televised fights and I expect that they are quite friendly. Wouldn't be surprised to see Pass do the next SN show.

That was Ray Burdis.

Not sure if they are related.

The old guy Duff used to use was terrific. Very old school - he'd just say

"Ladies and gentlemen.....in the red corner....the CHAMPION! LLOYD... HONEYGHAN!"

Straight to the point, shivers down the spine, and the Wembley crowd in uproar.

All this...with a record of blah blah...20 amazing KO's....3 in the first round...he fought his way out of the mean streets of LA, he's the former light middle champ, the former welter champ..blah blah...

It strikes me a just grandstanding by Buffer & co, looking to make their moment in the spotlight last as looooooong as poss.

Agree, in part, what you say. Don't think anyone would want to be an mc if they didn't like the attention, but, on the flipside, I do know a few boxers who absolutely love the big intro. Why not? If you've got the record, get someone to shout about it.

Watching Calzaghe when Buffer introduced him was priceless, Joe was absolutely loving it.

It's Bernie Flynn I think. He does all the big amateur shows in London. A real traditional voice. He's very good.
