I notice that Setanta are showing 4 and 1/2 hours of the Bernard Dunne bill, starting at 8.00pm and ending at 12.25am for this Saturday. Good to see that they are backing up the undercard to this extent.

Andy Lee and Matthew Macklin on the undercard. Should be a good night.

So how did it end up on Setanta? Did Dennis Hobson come in as co-promoter?

It's listed as a Brian Peters Promotion in association with Dennis Hobson and Team Magee.

Setanta, as I understand it, was set up as a satellite channel 20 odd years ago to air Irish sports to the expat community abroad. So with a few bright rising Irish boxers I suppose it makes sense for them to get in on act.

Not sure about that. They're showing a Morales vs Diaz replay an hour before. It's probably 2 1/2 hours from the Irish card. 9:30 till midnight is the Dunne card.

Incidently, anyone know why British Eurosport treat boxing so badly compared to the rest of Europe. Why do us Brits have to have Live Hockey which interfered with the Live Bill last night.

Okay, fair enough Hockey needs some coverage aswell and it was England playing.... but why didn't Eurosport 2 showcase the first 30 minutes of the Boxing.

Its not the first time this is done, and I know the other Eurosports show the boxing complete.

yeah, they always mess about with the times -like the Povetkin-Donald the other week - but when live ones like last night get pushed back and start at round 7 it's a load of rubbish.

It was a fair cop with the Povetkin bill, they did announce via an infobar the change and at least they showed it as normal and the sport they showed before was live and did overun - so fair enough.

However, for the live bill they should use Eurosport 2 if there are clashes. All Eurosport 2 was showing was old Moto GP stuff. Very fustrating. Plus, sometimes there has been European boxing showcased in some countries live, but not in the UK - Snooker gets primary action. Again, what is the point of Eurosport 2.

Is there a live Eurosport card in the UK this Saturday - A Eurosport bill is scheduled on Boxrec, but sometimes Eurosport will not show it live.

Just checked - looked like we in the UK are being messed about with again. 50 minute bill in the UK - bet you its 2 hours in Mainland Europe.

Can you still get mainland Eurosport if you have one of those porn dishes.

I am sure it will be shown, King has offered the fight to Setanta and Sky apparently. There have been a lot of last minute deals with King fights so I expect it will happen nearer the time.

Anyone know what is happening regarding Setanta and/or ITV current deals with FW.

I am a little concerned as I haven't seen anything NEW on the Setanta schedule since FW has signed with them. Yes, there is the Dean Francis bill - but then Hobson signed a deal BEFORE Frank. So it does concern me that maybe Frank has an exclusive deal with the exception of those under a pre-contract and the fights they signed before he signed.

Also, what of ITV? I remember reading John Rawling's opinion on Doghouse claiming that ITV are interested in airing other fights. allegedly on his NOTW column did state this also (when he still had the bigger contract with them) - but said that despite there interest there would be "no chance" cause of the exlusivity deal of showing Hatton vs Castillo. However, what about now - has this circumstance changed? Are ITV can only still be tied to FW (and now even smaller). Are ITV interested in showing other fights? This ITV play late night shite is being phased out by the end of the year - so opportunities there.

It would be nice to hear if Bennie has heard anything given his contacts with ITV - or if Boxingchat can help answer the question, seriously. Not after an opinion, just an answer.

Beyond Dec 1st - there is NOTHING scheduled on Setanta (and its pretty sporadic before then). They did hype up Trinidad vs Jones Jnr and Bunce said "well I hope, we get it hear right on Setanta" (Great presenter technique there  ).

Surely us boxing fans deserve to know the answers.

FW wouldn't let ITV show the Hatton fight because he still had an exclusive with them, is what I heard. I'm sure they really appreciated that little move. Now he has multi-fight deals with Setanta (the big fights) and ITV (for Khan).

I also hope we'll have a few domestic updates with Setanta. More Irish stuff looks likely, with Hobson-promoted Kiko v McCullough and Dean Francis' Commonwealth title defense etc.

some interesting Euro updates - Castillejo-Carrera middleweight rematch, couple of Eurosports.
