i'm not saying froch is bad fighter.G0mez wrote:Fair enough if you dont like Carl, but dont let it cloud your judgment. Sure he turned Pro late, that's not in dispute. However -hitman_hatton1 wrote:froch has still got a lot to prove.Box Office wrote:Froch can beat anyone in the division
One on the hardest hitters in Boxing!
Gotta love the Cobra!
yeah he's beaten the domestic guys like magee and dodson, but there's a big world out there and some very good fighters on the world scene.
it's time for hennessy to step up and deliver for carl.
Carl is number 1 mandatory to the WBC strap.
He has destroyed his last 3 and 'toughest' opponents (2 x KO 1 x TKO ) so when he steps it up he is everything he says he is.
He KO'd Henry Porras, the guy who KO'd Ajendro Berrio the current 168lb IBF champ in America.
Furthermore he has called out Calzaghe in the press and on TV to no avail.
Add to the above, that Warren is breaking his neck to sign Froch - offering huge purse for the doomed Adamu fight and even more for the Robin Reid fight to get Froch on his Cardiff show - plus calling carl with an offer to fight for him and then upon being rejected, starts to tell tales on Froch in the papers to weaken his relationship with Hennessy.
If you mean 'step it up' like these other Brits :-
David Haye, who got KTFO by the Cat
or Joe Calzaghe who, in his last 4 fights has fought 2 light-middles and 1 middle ? whilst publicly saying on his website that Kessler would never be an opponent because the Americans didnt know him....
... then HBO then get Kessler's fight on their station and ESPN have Kessler as a special guest on their Friday night fights !
I'm not making the above up - they are fact.
in saying that i think the best beat him.
meaning calzaghe, kessler, bute.
froch had tough scraps with guys like brian magee and charles adamu.
far too early to say whether he can beat the best.
he needs to step up to world top 10 level and prove it.
beating robin reid at this stage proves virtually nothing i think.
