Sam and Bika favourites for me.

Sam is a good friend of mine and really is one of the nicest guys you could ever possibly meet.

He has a lot of time for everyone and is such a postive guy and this energy rubs off on everyone he meets.

I hope he wins the thing and the audience get to see what an amazing guy he is outside of the ring too.

Corea is already saying Paul Smith can win it. I hope he is right.

Was a good start to the show but a harsh one with people getting dumped straight from the off. Danny Santiago turned up weighing 198 lbs! He shed 7lbs but they picked him to leave because of health worries making the weight. Codrington looks like he could be the loud mouth of the lot, and how I will enjoy seeing him getting his chin checked again. Felt sorry for Bunting having to leave because of a cut when sparring. Roll on the next episode.

Did anyone see last nights episode?
Max Alexander v Sam Soliman, i thought both boxers looked awful, Sam seems to have lost alot of speed and his chin doesn't look the strongest anymore. Alexander looked petrified at some points , and smiling the next, spat his gumshield out a few times , the fight was there for him to win.

Also my opinion of Pepe Correa hasn't changed, all he does is shout at the boxer and tell him to 'Go out there , and knock him out'. Seem to remember something similar he said to Lennox Lewis after the 1st round against McCall, didn't work then either.

I like Soliman, he's one of the good guys of boxing, always engaging and smiling. But i do fear that he could be one of those boxers who don't quit when they should.
He always had one of the best chins in boxing, but he was seriously shaken by Alexander, luckily for Sam that Alexander didn't follow up. Plus Alexander is a non puncher, only 2 KO's in his fights.

So to me it looks like Sam might be coming to the end of the road, but he's so in love with training and boxing i fear he may stay in the game to long.

Sam's fitness levels have always been superb, although his off-beat, herky jerky style can lead to messy looking fights.

He is originally from a kickboxing background (queue a sharp intake of breathe from the purists on the board..) and seems a really genuine down to earth fellar. He was based out of the peacock for a long time wasnt he?

Johnny Eames use to train him.. Messy fight..

He was doing roundhouse kicks when Alexander went down, though it was more of a slip/accidental butt.

I fancy Smith to make the final at least judging by the shit I've seen so far, though Codrington had his moments he looks very beatable.

Max has got bitch tits, no stamina and a shit attitude. Arsehole.....

The 4 out of the 5 winners with the most convincing wins progress i.e. 1 round KO better than a 2 round KO, UD pts better than MD etc, so least convincing winner is eliminated

Bika's a dirty fighter, what round did he win against Calzaghe?

He fights with his forehead and elbows....he might beat some of the chaff on this show but I'd fancy Codrington to box his head off....

Smith looks a likely winner in his first fight, I can't see much from the rest to worry him.

I agree it should be younger fighters though, 25 and below, and not people who have already had title shots, like Jonathan Reid and Sam..
