What a senseless, contradictory and idiotic thing to say.
Why should Ricky care about the other title holders when he's fighting Mayweather and possibly de la Hoya afterward for HUGE money?
Boxing is business. When I talked to Hatton in '04, he didn't want to fight Harris in Detoit for cruddy money. He stuck around for that guy, whatsisname, the guy that "Witter would of beat" (yeah right), Tszyu.
Now he's fighting another guy with the claim to being one of the best p4p, so why should he care what internet sadboys won't let drop?
Not hot on the reading comprehension today Maussa? Ricky will not get fights with Delahoya, Cotto, Mosley or a Mayweather rematch if he Mayweather humiliates him and beats him easily - which I'm not predicting its a possible scenario.
So what would Ricky Hattons options be if he was made to look like a poor fighter by Mayweather? Witter would then be the best option (providing Witter beats Harris), but even under those circumstances Ricky won't fight him.

Hatton(s) loves the £$£$£$£'s

lets be realistic about this though - if for example Junior Witter beat Harris then Malignaggi, and then Mayweather wanted a piece of Witter - Junior would fight Mayweather in a SECOND and would forget all about Hatton. he's just riding Ricky's back to fame and trying to make a name and career out of Ricky Hatton. He's just using the British Showdown angle as he knows he would be laughed down into the ground by any of the other elite athletes such as Mayweather and Cotto - he just needs to accept that until he makes himself an attractive fight for the elite camps, he is not even on there radar.

The only way Junior will forget about Hatton is if they meet in the ring. I obviously don't expect Hatton to turn down the likes of PBF, Cotto or Mosley to fight Witter, but if he goes back to fighting the Urango's or Collazos of the world instead of Witter then that is just plain wrong

It's a stupid thing to say. "Even if he gets humiliated he won't fight Witter." What a pointless sentence. It's an oxymoron (use of contradictory terms) which defeats the object of actually writing it. Meaning what you wrote is useless. If he did get taken to pieces by Mayweather, why would anyone presume Witter - tricky, awkward, switch hitter - would be an attractive fight to him. Especially when he already has a title at 140.
Also, who's to presume that Hatton will "get humiliated"?
I think far too much stock has been placed in the God-like Floyd v Oscar fight.

The point obviously is if Hatton looks bad losing he won't have the options for big fights hence Witter would be the biggest fight available.
Did I say I thought Mayweather would humiliate Hatton? I did not if you read my posts. I said its a possible scenario as is Hatton stopping Mayweather in 2 rounds by a bodyshot KO. Anything can happen in boxing and you never know until the last punch is thrown. I would expect a closish 8-4 decision for FMJ but I really go back and forth on this and Witter-Harris
