Not sure about that, Gammer gave Danny all he could handle just below that weight didn't he. Audley may get KO'd again but I'd fancy Skelton to do another job on Williams. But really, who cares?

Audleys the only one with any real class and the only one im really interested in seeing. He should see off Sprott easily this time and then next year finally meet Skelton.

Although the bouts are due to happen in Feb, none of these guys are getting any younger so it would make a lot sense to set them up for November or December.

Haye would smash these guys ups easily at heavy! What a joke world title my arse!

I was hoping that this tedious merry-go-round of poor to average British heavyweights would have stopped by now.

Disagree, Danny was in complete control. Thought Danny toyed with him myself. I didn't remember his exact weight vs Gammer - but it was spot on - thats the weight I won't to see Danny in all his fights - no more than 16 1/2 stone.

I just hope Danny is in good shape still!.... always a worry really.
As for Audely, credit to him for facing Sprott again rather than going in for some 'warm ups' against people noones heard of.... ok Sprott looked shite against Skelton but its still quite an interesting match up imo... a loss for either man at this stage and they might as well just pack it in...

Agree that Danny needs to stay around that weight, doubt it will happen though. As for the Gammer fight, I remember having it 4 rounds a piece going into the 9th before Danny's power and experience took over. Still a tough and entertaining fight. If he's not retiring yet I'd like to see him fight Virchis for the EBU title and then hang em up.

Danny looked like he toyed with Gammer really.

Sky couldn't score that fight for crap, they had It a close fight.

I did a round by round of it is I remember, sure it wasn't wide on the my card... but I do think Danny was in control even if losing some of the rounds. A bit like his performance vs Sprott in the 3rd fight. His mental flaws risked him losing again, but I think he was undoubtedly in control and the better man.

Lets not give him credit untill the fight is made. They have just been order by the BBBoC. Nobody has said they are definately one. Audley (like Catley has just done for the Super Middle title) could not accept this fight. I don't think Audley has particularly forced the issue, all that has really happend so far is a panel has declared Audley and Sprott should meet.

Although I suspect he will face the Reading fighter, he did have Sprott in a Spot of bother in the opener. It was a one in a million punch that Sprott landed, don't know if he will do it again.

Why do they keep on fighting each other? They should be fighting European heavyweights:

Skelton vs. Virchis
Harrison vs. Dimitrenko
Sprott vs. Platov
Williams vs. Bidenko

These would be more meaningful and interesting matchups.

Or perhaps American heavyweights:

Skelton vs. Ruiz (hugfest)
Harrison vs. Arreola
Sprott vs. Brewster
Williams vs. Rahman

I think people will only go to see these fights if there is a good top of the bill - We have yet to see Skelton/Harrison though.

The BBB of C can order as many matches as possible but it's television who pays. If Setanta shell out for these joke matches they deserve all the 200 viewers they get!

In a perfect world, I would like to see

Skelton fight for the European title- nothing less
Sprott to ply his trade on foreign soil and try to pick up some good wins as an opponent like he did before.
Harrison to get done by Vegas journeymen...far, far away from these shores and with no television.
Williams to retire. A result against Gammer doesn't prove anything and he's mugged people off with his weight and lack of training in the last few years.

100% agree.

The UK HW scene is totally depressing, with the exception of David Haye.

I'm hoping Haye can cement his legacy at cruiserweight, then step up & KO all these average (Skelton & Williams) & poor (Harrison, Sprott & Gammer) heavyweights in Britain, then we will all know where we stand in this country.

I just do not see the logic behind an endless succession of poor fights between this useless lot!

If Haye beats Mormeck I doubt we'll see him in with any of the domestic heavies and rightly so. Why would a WBC champion then go up in weight and back to domestic level? I guess there's a chance he will do that if he loses to Mormeck.
