That was finalised in a Queensland Local Court yesterday. It happened in Broadbeach, Queensland, not Sydney and the two watches had a total value of $221 (Not much Gold there). Fenech was fined $750.

Saw it on the news tonight. He pleaded guilty. wtf? a millionaire knocking off 2 watches worth $221 is a bit odd

From what I saw reported earlier one of Fenech's idiot friends stole the watches and gave them to Fenech's wife. I doubt Fenech had physical custody of the property at any time. The brief was based on common purpose, with Fenech being with the idiot at the time. Fenech has a sense of honour that says you help your friends no matter how worthless they are. You can take the boy out of Marrickville but you can't take Marickville out of the boy.
