Boxingmad,
Get real.
The only reason the fight is taking place is because of HBO backing.
Why the f@@k after investing as they have in this fight, should they consider anyone other than themselves ?
Oooh lets put it on at Wembley and f@@k all our ppv punters in the States with a shit start time.
I'm sure Mayweather would have said yes at the blinking of an eye to fight away from home as the Champion .........

Well it was worth a passing thought. My mind drifted back to Witherspoon V Bruno in 1986. But that was totally different I guess.

Actually it is people calling for the fight at Wembley in December in the early hours who are not quite bright. Floyd probably thinks Denver is a third world country, I could not see him taking a fight over here for all the tea in China (a small town in the mid-West according to Floyd).
Millenium Stadium has a retractable roof, plus it's better for the Northerners to travel to as it's fairly central.

Well if your mind drifted back Boxingmad, you'll know that fight took place in the middle of summer - 19th July to be precise.
Slightly different climate and lighting to December !!!
I also remember it well - but not for the main event - but watching a certain Michael Watson winning in 1 round.
Jim McDonnell's wasn't a bad fight either for the Euro title.

UK evenings pretty damn cold in December, roof or no roof!

Vegas just likes to have the big fights and get punters in the casino, it's about time they built a 25-30,000 capacity arena in LV.
