carl is on form for the match and training is going well.
gomez is on form too and they both need the win, but but like u say terri depends if his facial tissue can hold up carls quite a big puncher himself, and carl wins the lonsdale outright if he wins this one and after his loss to kirikosyan in july he'll be hungry to to raise the roof on the dome!

either way its gona b a humdigger of a fight. i personally cant w8

A lot depends on how Carl is after his last fight and if he's in good shape.... but I cant see Gomez not being up for this, a win here would really get his career back on track while a loss will be the end most likely.... has Carl still got his heart in the game?.... looks to be a very good fight I think with Gomez dangerous early but Carl winning in the later rounds I think if he gets past the early fireworks....

appologies bout the i my bad! terry

my game? elaberate plz.

from what iv heard carl is in pretty good shape, and he seems to be happy with how training is going,..his heart is in boxing 100% and in his title 100%

gomez claims it to be his belt as he vacaited it and its an all or nothing fight for him so he is deffinattly up for it, both fighters are exciting to watch and the both got something to prove so come oct 19 the fists will be doing the talking.

Didn't realise this fight is next week, definitely a can't miss.

Carl will be nervous as hell before the first bell, facing a ferocious fast starting puncher like Gomez, after getting blown away last time, is not exactly what the doctor ordered.

Could be he'll short circuit if one of those left hooks lands early, before his confidence comes back.

I agree, I dont think its really the wisest match that could have been made for Carl, after all if he wins people will say Gomez was shot and if he loses badly it could well be the end for him... I think he should have been given a 'get back on the bike' fight first rather than this rather high risk and low reward clash....

Terry D wrote:It is crazy. I pointed out my long term Sky subscription and how unfair it is that new subscribers get all these Sky+ offers.

The best they could do is cancel my existing account. Remove the box and all that and then I would have to subscribe as a new customer to get the Sky+ deal. In the meantime I miss a ton of fights.

Cheers Sky. I like your boxing output but you screw your customers.
Abso-fuckingwell-lutely. Not only the Sky+ thing pisses me off, but we bought my Gran a new Sky not so long ago she gets all the sports, plus a broadband connection if she wanted it and free weekend and evening calls for something like 35 quid a month. The price I am paying for just the TV... and cause I am an exsiting costumer not elligable for the broadband/phone calls... Cheers.
yeah i've been with em for over 10 yrs.

why don't i get it cheap like all the other new subscribers.

so much for loyal service.

Think Mr Johanneson will win this fight inside five rounds.

From what i've read and been told, Gomez didn’t look too good against Youssef Al Hamidi – a decent opponent, but not on the same level as Johanneson – in his last fight.

Remember, it’s not so long ago (after the loss to Alvarez) that Gomez was saying it was taking everything out of him making super-featherweight.

Possibly too much too soon.
