I'm about to resign up for Setanta, for the Calzaghe and Pacman fights, but I'm not bothered getting it in time to watch this re run, to be honest.
I agree. I am signing up soon, in time for JC v Kessler but not for Woods -Gonzalez
How the fcuk is Gonzales mandatory? Tells you all you need to know about the WBC. Not better than WBU WBF etc.

I wont be watching it.
You had me confused for a minute!!
Oh well I am off to see Clinton Woods - The IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Of The World.

The man has constatntly overachieved, I remember when he lost to Starie, he was finished! He has proven everyone wrong in the years since
The Nights against Ashley and Klementsen(neither fight he was expected to win) stand out to me.
Then Finally getting a title after 4 tries against a Champ who everyone thought woud eat him alive, what an achievement!!
I hope he gets his big payday, he has earned it
Are you one about Rico Hoye here? He wasn't the champ it was for a vacant title.
Dont know why I wrote that, wasnt paying attention

Pocket Rocket is the most knowledgable man I know concerning boxing

Hope Clinton thanked allegedly for that hometown decision last time though.
He was the last time Clinton fought him, and I gave Woods full credit. This is still a semi-decent matchup, but I have no interest in it, and imo Gonzo doesn't deserve it.

no way was it a hometown decision. It was a close decision and Clinton did enough. Johnson paced the fight very badly and Clinton came on down the stretch.
For some reason ppl won't give Clinton credit for some of the good early work he did. Some idiots somehow had Glen 8-0 up after 8 rounds which is retarded, and gave Clinton the last 4.
I don't see how he can thank Warren, who wanted Johnson to win and stole purse bids by teaming up with Johnson's promoters, with the aim of matching Calzaghe with Johnson. Warren regular Vann was the one who voted for Johnson.
He has said he wanted Tarver, I would perfere hopkins but don't see him being the draw as you say. If he can get Tarver in there and win which I believe he can then he could talk up a JC fight which should be a good pay day for him.
My gran could outwork Tarver. Woods wins that one going away as long as he doesn't get caught. Tarver's power is flattered by the Jones KO though. Woods wins a clear decision.
A fourth Johnson fight should be avoided, nobody wants to see that.
i just think clinton is a bit limited and he is lucky its a weak division. im not taking anything away from clinton, sound bloke and has done things the proper way. but in the P4P stakes i dont think he would get in the worlds top 40.
however...
i like watching him, he brings heart and soul and northern grit to the table, sound family man etc who has made the most of the attributes he has got. and IBF champion of the world is no mean feat at all.
I really enjoy watching Clinton, he's a good honest, down to earth British world champion who geniuely loves what he does. Look at the way he was screaming to himself before the 10th round, and he came out fighting.
He deserves a few big paydays. he would beat Tarver imo, maybe Dawson would outwork him and a fight against Joe would be huge in the UK.
