I loved the SKY clip after Farnell had won the WBU, he was so made up they showed him having a shower with his belt on. He loved that WBU belt did Farnell.

Arnie Farnell for me is one of the very best people I have met on the circuit. Brilliant bloke and bloody funny - mind you I shit myself when I did not know him and he wanted to sort me out for what I wrote on one of the websites about him!!! they were the days.

Evidently you accept the "dirty" tag (even made a joke about it) and I suppose at times it can be part and parcel of the game. Fair enough. I suppose my main bugbear was your fans. I can understand what you mean mate its out of order who ever spat on someone else if thats the case, But I was never a sore loser against Tak he just got me good and proper. Yes I was upset about the Ruben fight straight after because I thought I done enough, BUT when I looked back at the fight on tape I couldnt argue because I was stupid in takin 1 to land 1.
Belive me this is what I am good at now and I will be making some top quality fighters for you all to be proud of.

Brodie's comeback could be interesting - Problem for Michael was he was just a little small for the elite big Featherweights. There is a crop of probably a bit too good world champions out there at the moment (John, Luevano, Linares etc) - but a crop of domestic fighters who will provide competitive scraps, good paydays and Brodie still might be able to match them.

Ironically, if the small Featherweight Brodie is desperate for some overdue World honours then maybe its a move to the 9st 4 and chase the highly beatable Mozonke Fana.

Could be painful for Brodie but if needs must, then it is what he knows best.

I'd worry more about his resilience than anything else.

Brodie wilted against Chi quite alarmingly, although to be fair he was over in the first, had a badly busted nose and had a point deduction - There wasnt much else to go wrong really.

He started brightly against Harrison but again his resilience looked suspect, and he was out of there - I wonder how much the damaged rib affect him in this fight?

After sitting in the MEN two years ago and watching him get the shit beaten out of him by Scott "mine's a whisky officer" Harrison I wouldn't want to see him come back...

Not sure, but even so, Harrison just walked through him. Was gutting.....

Intresting, cannot say I remember this rumour - but of course it was the body shot (and that one particular punch) that did in Brodie. Up untill that point I disagree with what Captain Hook is claiming - although it is possible/probable that Harrison would have done him in the end.

He was too strong for Brodie you could see it on the night, though I actually thought it was a low blow until I watched it back on TV.

As for what people thought of him, I actually never heard a bad word said about him as a person, although as a boxer he could sometimes be unsportsmanlike. His fans were some of the worst, too, and I guess he got tarnished by association.

I used to be in regular contact with Howard Rainey, and his wife. Both spoke extrememly highly of Farnell, and said nothing was too much trouble for him when help was needed.

Brodie definitely past his best but I've seen far more shot fighters come back, he may still have something to offer and surprise us if the break has done him some good.

Who was one of the lads on the poster showing how to throw a jab? A young Brodie, complete with a shock of hair.

Yes, was he carrying some sort of injury, because prior to that body shot, I actually thought he was showing Scott up a bit, he was really digging him big time to the body and he looked to be uncomfortable. Then there was that one body shot and it was over.

Yes, he hurt Harrison there also - Always said it was a weak area for Harrison (no jokes about his new look in that region). However, while Scott often winced and looked doubled over in some fights - he always sucked it up and never went down. Steve Robinson had him in some trouble there also.

It was building up nicely. Scott made a great start, then Brodie looked like he was on verge of taking then - bang... effectively all over.

If you get the video/DVD out – look at the last 20 secs of round 3, immediately prior to the bell Harrison gets in a body punch.

The bell goes and Brodie winces in pain then goes off camera as he goes back to his corner. The commentators missed it (what’s new eh?), but you get a view of Harrison’s corner turning to look at what’s happened.

Mikie was obviously in trouble with that shot and that was the beginning of the end.

totally agree Mike had his successes but it was all within the first two rounds and he was never going to finish Scott Harrison (sadly).

There was an air of inevitability about the outcome.

If he does come back I wish him well.....
