Paul Lloyd - good value for money fighter. Hope that rumour is false, he seemed like such a fitness fanatic and wasn't his greasy spoon doing well.

As for McCreesh - I really cannot remember, but something is in the back of my head that I remember someone saying/writing/posting that it wasn't all roses and rainbows (to quote Rocky). I hope it is just all in my head.

What an emotional charged British title fights he had with Lueshing. For sheer passion that was one of the finest British title fights of all time. McCreesh fought like he had spiritual assistance. He would not be denied. He seemed to be almost in tears in the contest, what a performance. Weren't his folks just prior to that involved in a fatal car crash?

His Dad survived the crash, but his Mum was killed. McCreesh was in the ring about 3 weeks after it happened and I think his Dad was ringside. I don't know whether that was the Lueshing fight. I'll have to check it out. I've still got quite a few of his fights on video. I hope he's doing OK.

I remember when Geoff McCreesh defended his title against Michael Smyth, there was a mini riot in the crowd between rival fans, the fight was stopped , and i'm sure McCreesh offered out a couple of the idiots before it resumed.

Earlier i asked if anyone knew where Sugarboy Malinga was, now i had a look around on the internet , and found this Karate club in Blackpool, and they have boxing on a Wednesday night, and its taken by a Sugar Boy Malinga, i wonder if this is the ex World Champ?

I bumped into him in a hotel bar in South Wales a couple of years back. He was staying there while working localy, laying down train tracks in the area. He had a bit of a mad look in his eye so I didn't hang about!

I've often wondered what happened to one of Fraank Warren's first hot prospects, the Liverpool middleweight Jimmy Price. He was on ITV a lot and looked like he might make some waves. I remember he used to buy a new suit after every win....
FW eventualy took the plunge, and matched him with the old LM champion, Ayub Kalule.
Kalule wasn't know as a puncher at all, and Price was favorite, but he shockingly blew away a stage struck Price inside a round.
He came back with a few wins, and took on Herol Graham for the Brit title. But it proved the end for him as he was again blasted inside a round.

Wonder what's he's up to these days?

kaylors from my neck of the woods but i've never seen him since the old days. i think he is in america, his mrs is a yank.

yes thats him definately, very distinctive face he had, where on earth is he now then. his fight with errol christie was a classic.

Had a reply from Jamie Kaylor (Mark's son), it didn't go into detail, but said Mark is doing really well in the US, and thanks everyone for remembering him box.

Gary Ryder seemed to drop off radar and he'd been mixing in good fights. That was about 7yr ago.
Was there when he came to Hartlepool borough hall and stopped Kevin Bennet which he wasn't meant to ! Tough guy.
