Ahh yes that's the one, the same one who turned down Macca twice.
Didn't think i'd see you on here trying to defend this one!!
Haye is fighting Momeck, as far as I was aware it was Frank wanting options that stopped them fighting the first time. The next time Frank started going on about it we all knew he was soon to fight Momeck.
Haye was beaten by Thompson in his 11th fight. Thompson was coming off a win against world rated Rothman. Macca is a 'world champ' and coming off a career best win, Sellers has been pretty much missing for the last 3 years since being stopped in 2 by O'Neil Bell and 8 by Kelvin Davis.
Ahh yes

It's another easy win for Enzo but I just hate this hermetic Welsh thing, where they seem to be seizing titles and carefully picking opponents.
David Haye will be laughing his head off at this. He's a fighter who has a mind like a fight fan & I'd love to see what he thinks of this "development."
Enzo is good but I fear he's going to be just another Joe.
What the hell is wrong, was it too stressful fighting Braithwaite?

Are you taking the piss? Are you saying that Haye who is willing to fight Mormeck is scaired of Enzo who got KDed by Hobson.
You saying that Sellers who hasn't fought since getting beat by the guy who got beat by the guy Haye is fighting is in anyway comparible to the one who won against Thompson 6 years ago.
You can convince ITV sport of that bollox but not on this bord this is just bad business, there is a chance to showcase Enzo to the USA your second chance in 2 years the first time (on the lacy undercard) he fought bobby gun, now he's fighting a 39 year old who has fought 1 time in the last 3 years.
Warren is a joke and if he keeps making matches like that he'll make Enzo one too.

Yes right you are he embarresed both his best fighters on that occasion.
The point stands it was probably watched by a good deal of americans who aren't used to seeing him fight and they saw him fight a bum they are less likely to have seen braithwait and now they are going to see this. Warren isn't the best PR man certainly.

I thought you'd be in hiding.
None of us believe Haye turned down Mac twice. He, like Froch, dislikes the shitty terms that come with facing a SN fighter & they've spoken out about it enough. Even Claude whose mag is supposed to be castrated by your fave person wrote in an editorial that no other domestic promoters want to work with Frank. Because his terms aren't agreeable.
The Yanks are all laughing at you guys now. You've embarassed UK boxing with this shit. You lot have made the raw and amateurish Darnell Wilson (who lost a ton of world class fights...) look like the cruiserweight heir apparent.
"I'm in it for the glory, not the money." This is a quote that has really backfired. Now it sounds as shitty as Triple A Arthur saying "I want (then IBF holder at 130)St Clair, the weakesht of the championsh."

Boycie, him doing over Thompson was six
years ago. He has been innactive since losing to Bell in 2004 before coming back to beat Troy fornicating Beats in July. He weighed 213lb then, and he's been given exactly how much notice to prepare for the fight? I admit you havn't actually defended the match-up, but having a go at Haye ahead of his fight with JMM (he's the #1 cruiser btw, beating Bobby Gunn doesn't quite get Enzo top spot I'm afraid) you're either brain dead or went to the same suck-my-boss's-socks training school as Kevin MacKenzie.

This matchup is little short of disgusting, talk about treating the fans as fools, Sellers has been shot for the past 5 years and has only fought once in the past three!!!!... obviously Enzo is eager to lose any credibility that he gained in his last fight!. If Enzo is so good one has to wonder why he keeps feasting on dead bodies!....???....

He's ranked 268 on Boxrec, but I've just read on another site that he's miraculously appeared as the WBO no. 15! WTF??

Anyone could use the options excuse with Frank and because people hate Frank so much will believe It.
Plus all Froch said was It was derisory, yet he thinks he would KO Joe.

The people who made this fight are taking the piss, I would love it though if Sellers chinned Enzo because he could punch in his day but the people who made this match are obviously certain that his punch has been buried for the last 5 years along with the rest of his career.....

Shit, why not try to make a fight vs Adamek - before he signed to fight Cunningham - or Vassiliy Jirov. Ppl say why do ppl have a low opinion of Warren, well it's not hard to see why.
Let's face it, the results of the "fights" on the big April show were all foregone conclusions. The only interest was in guessing which minute of which round they'd be over. This time the main event is a 50-50 affair, so we can't expect one of the stable's other stars to be in a fight he could lose, can we? LOL. What next? Amir Khan in with someone with a 90% KO record on Saturday night TV? I think we've just got to be grateful for Joe-Kessler this time.
Well said, we have a feast of fights to look forward to Hatton/Mayweather, Haye/Mormeck and at another level Gomez/Johanssen so lets be grateful - Finding an opponent for big Enzo hasnt been easy but hopefully we will see him in a 50/50 next time.

Spoken like someone who works for SN.... why should we be thankful for a handful of 50-50 fights???..... and dont feed us the line that its so hard to match Enzo!!..... theres no excuse for this fight and anyone with half a brain knows that!....

I can't see how it can be hard to find opponents for a "world champ" on the undercard of one of the years biggest fights
Let's not gloss over this shower of shit.
Enzo himself deserves better surely?
When you hear him speak, he seem's a genuine fella, who would fight anybody.
Let's hope he does'nt miss out in the future.
Fights like this do him no good whatsoever.

no one wants to work with him. he's a bad sport - Clinton Woods didn't exactly have a happy experience. No matter what he does Warren always manages to look the bad guy. Woods' dad's in hospital having heart surgery and Warren's given Woods - who's worked the hard way for his title - a disabled toilet for a dressing room going into the 3rd Johnson fight. Disgrace. Haye said he wanted the Enzo fight, he didn't even want the WBO title, that he didn't want to sign with a rival promoter, and the fight never happened. Then Warren says that Haye has ducked Enzo in favor of Mormeck. How is that ducking when you're gunning for the lineal champion, the unified champion, away from home? It's just stupidity.
I can't see why you have all this good will in Warren, especially after he makes this fecking disgrace of a fight.
The sad thing is Enzo can fight but he's being treated like a guy who has to be carefully moved.
All I can say is, come on Marco Huck, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Alexander Alexeev, Vladimir Povetkin, and Haye of course. We don't need this mediocrity.
This is another bloody Calzaghe reign all over again. So which good fighter will Enzo fight in 2016?

But it wasn't hard to find an opponent. What do you think Jirov, Herbie etc would have said to a title shot? How about going for a dethroned ex champ in the SN/WBO way, like Bell? How about Ding a Ling Wilson, who (at least publically) said he was willing to travel?
I think it's easy to get Enzo an opponent. You have some of these US based lower top 10 fighters like Wilson who get poor money and want a half decent payday & a bid for glory...

I'm not exactly defending this kind of opposition. I'm not as bad as made out.
I'm asking whether people believe most of the excuses from other promoters because they hate Warren so much. Just seems that way.
Maybe they spent most of the cash on Calzaghe and Kessler so they end up putting on a shitty undercard.

So how come he has had this rankng?
Is it that his own people have been lobbying and FW just took the eaisiest contender?
Or do Sports Network themselves find the opponent first and organise the ruling body to give the fighter a ranking?
